“First time visiting here in a long time. It looked like there was only one gentleman working. It was rather busy at like 7am ish. But he greeted every customer. Thanked us for being patient. And made a great caramel flat white! A great example of multitasking and being great at his job!”

“Pleasantly surprised! We ordered the big breakfast with poached eggs and scrambled eggs on toast. The food was cooked perfectly, and everything tasted fresh. A nicer bread option, like sourdough, could have added a bit to the presentation, but overall, it was a great dining experience!”

“Had breakfast on a Sunday. Ordered the big breakfast, mince on toast and kids nugget meal. Food was fresh, hot, delicious and portions were also generous. Also, our son had so much fun playing with their young kid as well.... that made it more enjoyable because they were so kid friendly. My coffe was so good, and my husband also enjoyed his lome milk shake. They even gave our little one a complimentary kid size milk shake. Highly recommend”

“We visited Magic Loft Avondale with our two boys and had such a good time. The staff were warm and genuinely welcoming. My kids were busy, happy and safe in the playground while I relaxed in the café area, still able to keep an eye on them. The space was set up well for families, fun for the kids, comfortable for adults. We’ll definitely go back.”

“This place is awesome and you can’t cut it any other way. They were out of hot meat pies when we arrived but they did have a meat pie in their cold case that they could heat up so what’s the difference? It was tasty! The desserts were incredible and the sandwiches were lovely as well. They also had lots of different groceries so we picked up different snacks and beverages. They even had nag champa! We ate our sandwiches on a little table overlooking the beach. This place is a gem and it was open super early in spring around August-September.”

I enjoy starting my day here with a coffee and reading when I get the chance. Heaps of parking and very amenable opening hours.”

“Located inside the Danone Nutricia building, a world-famous dairy company, Thai Nee Cafe is open to the public. Its menu features authentic Thai and Japanese cuisine, made by Thai chefs. My personal favorite is the Thai Noodle. Opened 13 years ago by a Japanese owner who has been working in Auckland cafes for over 20 years, this cafe is a long-time friend of mine. The Thai food is delicious, and the affordable prices for hearty meals like Thai Ginger Pork, Thai Noodles, and Thai Curry are a real draw. The landlord is the large Danone company, and the cafeteria is also available, allowing for affordable prices. While the location caters to those working at nearby factories, these prices and quality food are hard to come by in Auckland's current climate, so it's worth making the effort to visit.”

“If you go here you need to try the Katsu chicken roll, it's the best Katsu roll I've ever had and all of the sushi here is incredible. All of the rolls have a really good amount of filling and the prices are very reasonable at 1.20/piece or for slightly larger pieces up to 1.80/piece. If you ever visit or go to Massey University you need to grab a few pieces of sushi from here.”

“A hidden gem with warm friendly service from a lovely gentleman and delicious ORGANIC COFFEE at a super reasonable price (hard to find and amazing for fancy-pants Parnell!). Very very happy, only a few mins walk from Strand Station so will be back every time I come to visit from Hamilton! 谢谢”
