“HALF & HALF - Recommended dish here. The dish comprises of half balsamic mushrooms & half scrambled eggs, along with two slices of delicious toasted sourdough. The balsamic seasoning of the mushroom was perfect and the scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection. Also the eggs were not seasoned, allowing me to adjust the seasoning to my taste. The staff were friendly and the service time was reasonable given how busy the place was. There is extra seating upstairs along with alot of outdoor seating, including the tables in front of the restaurant next door. Great to take in some sun rays and enjoy. In summary, they deliver staple food to a high standard in a great wee spot on Ponsonby. Will be back again!”

“Fantastic café! Some of the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. We were visiting from out of town with our 6-month-old, and they made us feel incredibly welcome and accommodated. Although we only stopped in for a quick drink before heading to the airport, I tried some of their recommended food, and I wasn’t disappointed. The chicken bao were fresh, perfectly seasoned, and light—not heavy like some can be. The atmosphere is stylish, modern, with a bit of an industrial vibe, which is right up my alley. Full marks to the team—thank you! We’ll definitely be back.”

“Came in here with my daughter today at a very busy period. Luvia made us bubble teas. Three different ones and all of them were so amazing. We have coming here as regulars pretty much every week once or twice for the last 2-3 years but today’s bubble teas were one of the best one we have had. Amazing job Luvia!!”

“I have been going to the Little Oven for my coffee fix during the week and Saturday morning for so many years. Muffins are yum, a couple of savory options and 3/4 sweet and scones. A selection of sandwiches, salads, quiche and vegetarian pies (you'd swear you were eating meat), sweetcorn pies mmmm. The usual selection of s/m/l coffees, Teas, Hot Chocolates all moderately priced. A coffee card stamped at each purchase and get yourself a free muffin after 5 or 10 drinks. Today Pumpkin Soup was on the menu, delicious. I've also asked for dumplings at times. Ni need to cook dinner They don't charge a surcharge on public holidays, you can ring in an order and drink while you're waiting to get on the motorway at Queenstown Rd or going for your walk or bike ride. Coffee is great, service is great, food is great, location is great. Sit down or takeaway. It's a stones throw from the Waikowai boardwalk and Temanu Reserve. Staff are friendly and cheerful. The pearls are perfectly chewy, and I especially recommend the brown sugar milk tea if you want something a little naughty. The shop is also clean and cozy, making it a nice spot to chill with friends. So glad to have this gem in the neighborhood. Highly recommend!”
