   The Hunua Eatery offers a convenient stop for coffee or breakfast, but my recent visit left me underwhelmed. I ordered coffee and a keto breakfast, and while both were passable, they fell firmly into the "average" category. Neither stood out in terms of taste or quality, especially when compared to other keto options available in the Pukekohe and Papakura region. The overall experience was further dampened by the appearance of the cabinet food options, which didn’t seem particularly fresh, and the tables, which were a bit greasy. These factors gave the impression of a lack of attention to cleanliness and presentation, which detracted from the otherwise pleasant atmosphere. On the positive side, the women at the counter was polite and welcoming, which was a redeeming feature of the visit. While The Hunua Eatery might suffice for a quick coffee or meal, those looking for high-quality keto options or a standout café experience might find better alternatives in the surrounding areas.

   Had breakfast on a Sunday. Ordered the big breakfast, mince on toast and kids nugget meal. Food was fresh, hot, delicious and portions were also generous. Also, our son had so much fun playing with their young kid as well.... that made it more enjoyable because they were so kid friendly. My coffe was so good, and my husband also enjoyed his lome milk shake. They even gave our little one a complimentary kid size milk shake. Highly recommend

   Very tasty counter food at reasonable prices. Pretty good coffee and plenty of lunch options. My friend and I enjoyed ours and I took a fresh almond croissant away for afternoon tea which didn't disappoint.

   Not much parking but nice area. Nice shop layout with a decent amount of seating. Service wasn't the greatest. Keep waiting at counter for a while before even a greeting. $23 for a beef burger. Ouch! Mushroom and chicken filo parcel good size for the $9 price tag.

   I got a fish burger and chips with a glass of pineapple juice. The juice tasted like it was poured straight outta a can of doles pineapple slices. The burger bun was burnt, fish was small and was not fresh. Chips were decent but only lightly seasoned.

   Cute little spot. Nice decor. I had the Assorted mushrooms dish. Toasted ciabatta pieces could be bigger and presentation a little better but overall a tasty dish. Also got the Buttermilk Berry Panckes, they were nice, thought it would be a stack, but it was 2 thick pancakes with passionfruit curd & wild berry compote. Beautiful presentation. The Choco Loco Freak Shake was bomb. We asked for a shot of coffee in it. The brownie that came on top was to die for. My mate had the hashbrown stack. She enjoyed it. An overall pleasant experience. Will be back to try other items on the menu.

   Environment... My initial impression was pretty good till I try to have my coffee and cookies. Coffee (Americano) was rather weak but I can accept this standard as it has been challenging to find real premium coffee. The cookies are excessively sweet and just not too sure if the other desserts are the same sugary sweet... Anyway, the things that bothered me was the loud trashy music and staff at counter are a little loud. Plus the high ceiling and hards walls, the acoustic are not helpful for a peaceful moment with my coffee. This is just my personal preference when I drink my coffee.
