“This is a lovely cosy cafe serving quality traditional fare and really good, actually hot, coffee. An oasis in Dunedin city centre. I highly recommend Rembrandt cafe.”
“Absolutely beautiful coffee! Delightful little shop. Jared is very down to earth and great to have a chat too over way too may coffee's lol”
“I came late and was still welcomed. The lady went out of her way to accommodate me and I had 2 lovely biscuits. Not oversized or over priced, just right and super delicious. Good coffee too.”
“I come in here most weeks with my father. We both love the food. Good portions and a reasonable price.”
“Great staff, the little food I had was delicious and the coffee was good”
“Fabulous coffee and food! Highly recommend the filter coffee, check what’s on offer each day as it changes, I had a very nice single origin Ethiopian. Espresso also great. And, very tasty food, we had breakfast 3 days in a row and can recommend the granola, also had poached eggs and bacon with a house made rosti in place of bread to make it gluten free (gf bread also an option). Staff are super helpful and friendly :)”
“Caversham's friendly little cafe in Hillside Road, loved by the locals.”
“A great find have been coming regularly as have been visiting hospital. Sandwiches are so fresh. Staff are very welcoming”
Greenland's Cafe & Restaurant leans into a classic fish-and-chips approach with no fuss. Grill work shows a clean sear and rested meats. Portions are generous yet well judged. Eggs land on point and toast stays crisp.
Brighton Beach Cafe runs with a coffee-and-cabinet menu and a relaxed feel. Packaging keeps things crisp on arrival. Value feels fair for the spread. Good value shows in the serve sizes. Team members...
The kitchen at The Good Oil Cafe takes a coffee-and-cabinet path and lets the food speak. A sensible spend for the quality. Team members keep things friendly and on task. Meals land promptly at the pass.
“We always come here to have brunch every Saturday. Always serving good food and has a chill vibe. Highly recommended!”
“Went into this cafe and I was welcomed by a friendly face straight away. Quick service and the bene bagel and mocha were great. Nice music playing gives a relaxing atmosphere. Definitely will come back again.”
“The best coffee in my 2 weeks coffee experience in Dunedin! The barista girl was very friendly and she knows what she is doing. My coffee was perfectly strong, smooth and delicious. Lemon muffin was yum too!”
“I always grab my matcha latte from here. It’s my little pre-workout ritual before heading to the gym! The staff here are amazing and always so friendly. One time I came in totally distracted and couldn’t remember my order (I always get the same thing), and the kind barista said, “almond milk matcha latte?”. Ever since then he just asks, “the usual?” and makes it perfect each time. It’s small gestures like that that make the experience so special. Great matcha, even better service!”
“Please be kind! I thought it was 24 hours, but they said they would be closing at 10!”
“We stopped again on the way out. The cinnamon scroll is still great”
“I thought I knew delicious pies until I went to Spelt Bakery. I got the Chicken, Chutney and Brie pie and it feels as if my eyes have been opened. Thank you Spelt, this was an honour.”
“We had a great experience here that we will definitely recommend people to go. Clean room, comfy beds and sofa, well organized kitchen area. John is so friendly and always would like to show you how to feed the sheep and alpaca. Not far away from Dunedin and we will stay there again if going down. ❤️”
“We went here for dinner tonight and the food was amazing, we especially loved the eye fillet, fried chicken and pork pieces! The hazy beer I had on tap was really nice too and the dessert was fantastic. Great service also, the staff were really lovely. Overall was one of the best restaurants I've been to in Dunedin, will definitely be back!”
“Coffee & Food --- both 10 out of 10. Coffee is not only delicious, it is also well presented(golden cream color & shape well drawn). I had toast sandwich today with up to 3 fillings only cost me $8! So delicious & great value for money. Let alone eating inside the most beautiful building of Dunedin so much like some of the arty buildings in lower Manhattan New York city. Love this place & will become my regular cafe now”
“This cafe is all heart. I came as a recommendation and could not resist coming back. The food, the atmosphere and the service was just top drawer. I highly recommend Helen and her team as a core part of the Cafe culture here in Dunedin. I so wish they were in Wellington.”
“Great coffee and scones(a bit on the expensive side for its size but delicious nonetheless) Seating outside with view of polytech, walkway has been rebuilt and seems more people friendly now. Would love to see more areas like this!”
“Had a blast at timezone, lovely sushi for lunch. Had coffees at muffin break. Got a fantastic haircut at EFX hair and beauty! They were fantastic as someone who has major anxiety about people touching my hair they couldn't of been more attentive. Absolutely brilliant service”
“The cashier painted a smiley face on my nachos with sauce and it made my evening :) I don't know her name but thank you to whoever did that!”
