“Had my daughter’s first birthday party here. John the manager is so easy to communicate with and always replied to my emails within a timely manner. I love that they allow you to cater for your own food. The staff were just lovely on the day! Highly recommend this venue”
“I do courier service around this area every day i have my coffee and breakfast daily cafe to must visit.great service”
“Great service and very friendly. The food is consistently delicious. Cute aesthetics and overall just amazing. Highly recommend this cute local cafe.”
“Friendly and attentive staff. Delicious food. Excellent coffee and reasonably priced. Love this great little neighbourhood gem ❤️”
“The food is very yummy especially the chicken Benedict, but why I write this is cause their customer service is amazing. The guy ray and his coworkers are very warm and kind and thanks to them me and my partner had a wonderful breakfast date. Definitely will go back :)”
“We loved it here; the atmosphere, the wonderful service and, of course, the food.”
“Super yummy food, friendly service, and reasonably priced! Construction sounds and smells nearby dampened the outside atmosphere but was no fault of the Cafe. Will definitely be back!”
“Ambled into Amble + Birch for a coffee (see what I did there?) last week and ordered an Iced Coffee and a Flat White. The Iced Coffee comes unsweetened, so if you prefer a touch of sweetness, I’d recommend adding a shot of caramel, vanilla, or hazelnut. That aside, it was refreshing, while the Flat White was just what was needed for a quick caffeine boost. The café offers plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, making it a comfortable spot to relax. Tucked away in an industrial-style area, it’s easy to miss - but well worth seeking out. We’ve visited multiple times, and the coffee has been consistently excellent.”
“I recently placed a review for ONE Onehunga after visiting with my wife, for brunch, she had previously been there and had a great experience...I had a less than great meal and service. In reply to that review the asked me to give them another chance..we did today. The difference was night and day, where to start....the tea was fantastic and they had sweetener ( none last time). The big breakfast ( One breakfast) was much improved, seasoned mushroom and tomatoes, great eggs, perfect lightly cooked bacon. The service was quick, polite and professional. Now the small things....there were staff cleaning, not just tables but other surfaces when not busy, fresh flowers on the tables, the owner training the staff in quite periods....very impressive. I am really pleased to have been proven wrong in regard to my previous review and thank you to the owners for their pleasant reply to that review and the conversation I had with one of the owners this morning.”
“Great local bakery/cafe that's been around for many many years. Jalapeno steak pie was delicious. Coffee is a little light. Cheese scone is not bad. There's lots of options to choose from. They sell out of the chicken drums early, so we missed out today :(”
“I recently visited this lovely brunch spot, and it exceeded all my expectations! The food was as stunning as it was delicious. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, not just in flavor but also in presentation. I tried the vibrant smoothie bowl with fresh fruits, the creamy soup topped with seafood, and the chicken waffles. Each bite was a perfect balance of texture and taste. The café itself has a bright and cozy ambiance, with elegant decor that made the experience even more enjoyable. I loved the natural light streaming in, and the atmosphere was lively yet relaxing—perfect for a catch-up with friends or even a solo brunch.”
“Delicious food. Consistently good. Friendly service. Value for money. Generous portions. Love the hollandaise sauce. Great coffee. Our family favourite!”
“My daughter and I had a wonderful lunch, little miss 5.5 was not only all smiles but very well looked after including sneaky chocolate delivery from the lovely Emilie who expertly serviced our needs. Attentive, friendly and anticipating our every need, this girl needs a bar tab from the owners or at the very least a juicy slab of meat loaded with truffle butter!! A true pleasure of an experience with delightful food, service and even better views!”
“In search of the best coffee in Auckland which is overrun by the big commercial roasters. This was by far the best coffee I’ve had on my 2 week trip to NZ.”
“They had gluten free vegan pancakes which is a big deal and they are AMAZING”
“Popped in to this place after being at the pharmacy. So impressed. Very clean, lovely staff, amazing, food, coffee and service. Very reasonable prices too. Most definitely coming back! Highly recommend.”
“This is one of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever eaten from. Time and time again they never fail to serve. Great service and delivery . It may be pricey BUT it always has excellent quality of food so it's worth the money! Ubereats delivery is excellent also!”
“So much better done up Wish there was after work drink specials”
“I love this place especially the vibrant Thai woman behind the counter who just is always enthusiastic with every customer. What sets this bakery apart is the variety of food available. This is my 'go to bakery' in the weekends if I feel I need for a nice hit of savouries and sweets.”
“Staff are amazing and so are the drinks. Love the set up. Great location, plenty of parking, for your car and your bum.”
“Nice Italian restaurant with GF Pasta and Pizza. Pasta portions are huge, I‘ve struggled eating up the main size and ordered this time an entree size, which was a full size portion too. Also nice Italian wines to go with your meal. I can recommend Sangovese. Definitely a nice place to dine in. Bookings might be helpful as this place is well visited”
“First German restaurant for me and I have to say: I will come back. Me and my partmer had the plate A and even if it looks big, if you’re hungry don’t worry you’ll eat everything. Loved the sauce and the smashed potatoes, reminds me of my grandma’s one. I like the fact that you have tomatoes, coleslaw and other salads on free service. We also had the tab german beer and nothing to add you know just a tab beer. But the owner is really kind and gave us a good experience. Boyfriend here, I’ve been to Berlin and the taste is familiar. I vouch for this only german restaurant in West Auckland. Traditional I love it”
“Sarah and her staff are very welcoming, personable and super friendly and helpful. They get to know their customers needs which is rare in some Cafes. The Chefs cook great tasting meals. The food is always delicious! Coffee, 5-Stars”
“Gorgeous restaurant with fantastic mood lighting. Service was impeccable from the initial welcome to the food servers. Food – oh my yummy! We had tomatoes and ceviche for starters, then rib eye and ribs for mains with cauliflower for sides. Every dish was delicious and good size! Super enjoyable!”
“First time visiting this restaurant tucked away in Takapuna. Glad I had my local son with me to guide me to parking and then the restaurant. Our waitress was wonderful. We started with chicken skewers and the pork belly. Both delicious. Mains were a t-bone steak and costillas (beef short ribs). Portions are generous and came with a side and a sauce. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. So much food we had to ask for containers to take food home. Our waitress brought us separate containers for the salads so they didn't wilt. She also provided tongs to pick the salad up. Just felt she went the extra mile for us. Highly recommend although someone told me earlier in the day it was expensive. This carnivore mum was delighted with the meal and thought excellent value for money.”
“Cannot fault anything!! Food was amazing , beautiful! Big call , but the Pork ribs and Moroccan Lamb chops and the best I've eaten! If your passing through Orewa , this place is a must visit ✨️”
“Love the place. The food was yummy. Drink menu is just great, loved the mud pot drinks. We tried the chicken wings and chicken nachos and both were yummy. Must try.”
“Perfect, ordered steak eggs and chips with slaw for 30$ and it was one of the best steaks I have ever tasted really big meal struggled to eat it all. Great service aswell thank you from 2 Wellington lads. We will be back when we are here again.”
“Had a fantastic dining experience at Daphne. The highlight of the night was definitely the woodfired market fish dish — a beautiful combination of clams, mussels, prawns, and fresh fish that captured the essence of the sea. Every bite was a burst of oceanic flavour, delicately balanced with herbs and seasoning. It felt like a celebration of fresh seafood done right. Also really enjoyed the pork belly skewers — crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, paired perfectly with the pickled rhubarb and fennel. A great contrast of textures and flavours.”
“Best turkish food in Auckland, if not the country I would say. The lamb in particular is succulent. The cocktails were amazing too. Highly recommend!!”
