   Waiheke hospitality is screaming out for punters to open their wallets in a time of a cost of living crisis for many. Yet here is a prime example of why punters are hesitant to spend their hard earned cash on tourist traps like this place. When you fork out $5.50 for the tiniest scoop of Tip Top icecream in the country you remind yourself why you dont become a repeat customer. When I say tiny I mean they are the size of a size 5 egg! You also dont allow your shop to sell a double scoop. Must only be singles. Its really time that you understand that you might suck in one off tourists with your pricing but it just pis ses off regulars and locals who are there to support business during the quieter months... Update: in response to the owners reply. We know you. And you were standing right next to the fella scooping the ice cream. While this public offer of a free scoop is great for publicity, it’s a recurring theme on your reviews. All the best.

   I went to purchase a Powerade here. At $5.90 it was more than I wanted to spend on any commercial drink packed full of sugar. I asked the (very friendly) staff behind the counter if there was a cheaper option. They directed me to a $2 can of softdrink which suited my limited budget way better. In addition, I did not use my credit card nor their tap-and-go facility, thus saving myself the 3% surcharge the banks charge for this privilege. I left the shop very happy, having spent a mere $2 after putting some thought into my purchase. Thanks Palm Beach Store!

   I got a bottle of energy drink… $6.08 (GST included) creep me out! I rather have a combo handmade coffee+cookie. WHY DONT PUT PRICES TAG ON?

   Just loved this place. What a cool vibe. Authentic beach variety store with awesome coffee and literally THE best bacon and egg toastie ever...and for only 9 bucks! Great people working there...open early. Cool music and some funny books :)
