One of my go to places for meetings and relaxation. There's always good art on display, the outdoor sculpture walk is intriguing and a breath of fresh air, and the cafe has great food, inexpensive prices, and good service.

This is a local hub for arts. There are regular exhibition showcase works from local emerging artists. There is a cafe on site. Multiple rooms available for hire for small or medium size events. Love the arty vibe here, not just indoor displays, but also outdoor sculpture.

From an exhibiting artists' perspective, Lake House Arts Centre deserves high praise. Every step of the way they've made it easy for me to learn how to show my art and hold a successful exhibition. They made me (and my guests) feel very welcome, and in the exhibition opening the pΕwhiri added an amazing, uniquely NZ sense of occasion. I feel very fortunate to have had this opportunity. Thank you.

Update: had to took one star off to make it a 3 star review because of a recent unhappy experience. During the last event I was told that I could get the tickets half price because I was a regular guest (yes I was there twice for the after dark events and I was gonna be there more times). Many other guests heard it too and I took their word for it. When I tried to get a half priced ticket for another event two weeks ago, they refused to sell it to me, and insisted that the price was not gonna be halved. Wonβt come back again. Itβs not about how much a ticket is, itβs about trust and promise. βββ- Had an after hour ghost tour tonight. The Lake House Arts Centre is a small place with a lot of fine arts and an interesting history. Our tour guide was humorous and knew the place well. Snacks and beverages/drinks were provided, which was great. We only had 2 hours for the tour and the house was full of guests, which made me feel short and crowded. So therefore I would suggest that future tours would last longer and less than 10 guests shall be invited for one single tour. I was glad to hear the host teamed up with Paranormal NZ to conduct paranormal investigations. I am a regular guest to Paranormal NZ, who sometimes create public events. Their events are long and limited to few participants, which make their events more fun and engaging. So yeah less people, more time would be better. I took some pics before l left, and if you see sth unusual, let the host know.

Lake House Arts Centre is a positive, friendly and creative space. I have been many times over the years to events, workshops and exhibitions there and have always found the historic building to be an inviting and exciting hub for creatives.

Attended opening exhibition of art by Mark Whippy. Great arts space, a very creative atmosphere, supportive of emerging artists. Blessing in te reo Maori appreciated. A lovely experience on a cold rain swept Sunday after noon. Thanks to the supporters of this arts space. Arohanui.

Beautiful place in and out. Love how they display their art around the building. They have nice gardens and a cafe to enjoy the outdoor area. Have friends with kids going there for art classes and they all say great things about the Lake House,so considering it for my own kids.

The staff here in the cafe are great, friendly, helpful and efficient. Food is good quality and the seating area is open and comfortable. Nice view over the garden and sportsfield. Often display the work of local artists for sale.
