We came here for Brunch and had a seafood chowder and a big breakfast. We were amazed by the amount of seafood and quality of it in the chowder. It was nicely seasoned, creamy, and tasty. The bread that came with it was asking yummy, soft and buttery. The big breakfast was nicely cooked with veggies and meat. The egg was perfectly poached. We thought it might be a little bland, but we understand that everyone has different tastes preferences and so there was salt and pepper on the table. The beetroot latte was something new to me, there was a slight hint of beetroot flavor but not so strong and was easy to drink. We didn’t get the chance to try their cabinet foods but everything in there looked amazing. We will definitely try the cabinet food next time.

Best place in Milford. Two plates of breakfast perfection. The burger was juicy, towering masterpiece with crispy onion rings, while the avocado toast with scrambled eggs was fresh and delicious. Great coffee too.

Very busy local Cafe with good food and good service. We had bird nest egg Benedict which is a special way of doing it. Thai beef salad was not bad but the beef is quite tough. Kids American burger was very good and well worth the price. Kitchen cabinet is full of delicious looking cake, slice and sandwiches. We had the Nutella chocolate cake which quite fluffy. The cheesecake is pretty good as well. Service is very fast and there are plenty of staff to catch their attention and service.

Never have i seen this cafe not crowded. Despite the hustle and bustle, the staff are always friendly and quick in finding seats for us. They have the most mouthwatering cabinet food and great variety of food on the menu. The best of them is the seafood chowder which i would order again on a cold day and that focaccia? Definitely worth every penny

Visited over the weekend and the place was packed—definitely a popular spot! Despite the crowd, the service was efficient and friendly. The food was outstanding, especially the **seafood risotto**—rich, flavorful, and loaded with fresh seafood. Desserts were a delightful surprise too—perfectly sweet without being overwhelming. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for great Italian cuisine with a lively atmosphere!

Finally got to visit Tonys cafe Hello Friends in Milford. Tony himself greeted us on arrival and was nice he remembered us both from his time up on the Hibiscus Coast. We were treated like royalty and shown to a table up on the next level floor as the cafe was packed out. The food is still amazing, the coffee perfect and the ambiance was buzzing and very busy. Your staff are very friendly, observant and great communicators!! Well done Tony & crew, we will be back. Kimme & David White - Whangaparaoa

Enjoyed a brunch here on a sunny Saturday morning. This place was BUSY. There was a line out the door with about 5 parties waiting for seats and blocking the walkway for other users. When we got a seat after about 5 minutes, we were crammed in at a long table, almost rubbing shoulder against the neighboring patron. In spite of this, I enjoyed the bustle of the cafe and was impressed by how smooth the transition between tables were. The coffee was fantastic - nutty, smooth and pungent. The health bowl was nothing special and with only one egg, no sauce and two small slices of halloumi, I was left to eat raw quinoa and watercress on its own. The avocado was hard and inedible. Some of the other meatier meals looked tasty, perhaps I should have had that instead. The service was good while we were ordering, but non existent after that. Water was provided but not refilled throughout our visit. Prices were higher than similar cafes in the area. Would I return? Possibly, maybe on a quieter day and I would have some cabinet food instead.

A special cafe. Staff are super friendly, even invited us in at the door and found us a table. They were on the job cleaning tables and serving customers much more diligently than in other cafes. The cabinet food selection is fantastic, would be hard to beat. No wonder this place is so popular!

I had the pleasure of visiting Dear Friends restaurant, and from the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with a warm and prompt welcome. The level of service throughout our dining experience was truly exceptional, and it perfectly complemented the outstanding quality of the food. Speaking of the food, I was amazed by how swiftly our dishes arrived at our table. The kitchen staff worked diligently to ensure a prompt delivery without compromising on taste or presentation. It was evident that every dish was crafted with great care and attention to detail. While indulging in our delightful meal, I couldn't help but notice the enticing display of ready-made food at the front counter. The beautifully arranged dishes were simply tempting, but unfortunately, our appetites couldn't accommodate them this time. However, the sight of those delectable offerings only left me eager to return and explore more of what Dear Friends has to offer.
