We popped down to Bucks Bistro after a disappointing dining experience from down the road. Everything was great, staff, service and food was tasty while sitting in a nice ambiance. The space is open and light. This place is a bit more expensive but the quality and service make up for it.
Good food and drinks combined with class location and service. Especially on a good sunny day, the cornered location offers a nice view on the beach and passers-by’s. I had the Caesar salad. I don’t think 8 dollars extra for a few chicken strips is justified, but since this is an upscale establishment, I’ll take it.
Bucks Bistro is a cozy beachside spot with great food and friendly service. The menu offers fresh, flavorful dishes like seafood, flatbreads, and tasty platters. Food is really expensive for what you get and pretty basic. I had roasted beetroot and feta salad and it tasted like not enough feta and lots of plain beetroot (tasted like canned beetroot) with some spinach for $16. I also had another $16 duckfat potatoes, which 3 of them were really dark, so didn't eat. The standard should be very high for those prices. Beetroot should be roasted and there should be a good amount of feta. Stringy fries weren't many for the price either. Seafood chowder looked the winner for value. So, nice location and atmosphere. Had to really get the waiters attention for ordering, despite only having 1 other group there. It could be a lot better, more generous for the price you pay. I want to feel like I'm really having a treat and it felt basic. You want people to want to come back, so be generous with your helpings and quality.
What a cute little place. Great beach vibe and love the interior. The coffee is great and simple brunch as well. Got Eggs Benny, the hollandaise was a bit runny but very tasty. There isnt any cabinet food (just heads up) Will be back :) DOG-FRIENDLY!
Our booking was misplaced, that said the staff rose to the occasion to accommodate us. That is a plus. But, the service was terrible, orders came out at varying times. Some didn't get what was ordered. Some items on the menue wasn't available. Steak meals got mixed up, one was like old leather. Then when eye fillet ran-out, tried to trick us by sending out Scotch fillet.... waiting staff insisted it was eye fillet. Sorry chef, some of knew the difference. All in all not an enjoyable evening.
I recently had breakfast with my partner at Bucks Bistro and it was a great experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive. I ordered the pork belly, tomato and parmesan loaded hash brown, poached egg, and sour cream and it was absolutely delicious. The pork belly was cooked perfectly and was so tender and juicy. My partner had a different dish, but it was equally as delicious. The menu had a great variety of breakfast options to choose from, and I loved that they used fresh and quality ingredients in all of their dishes. The coffee was also great and a perfect complement to the meal. The staff were attentive and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Overall, I highly recommend Bucks Bistro for breakfast. The food was top-notch, the atmosphere was inviting, and the service was excellent. I will definitely be returning in the future!
What an exceptional experience! With food to match any fine dining restaurant and views across the harbour to match, you can't go past Bucks Bistro. We decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary here and we were not disappointed. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had an extra special meal. Thank you, we will be returning.
We just love Bucks Bistro. Best menu selection if you want comfort or something a little more technical. The young staff bend over backwards to make sure you have a fun & enjoyable experience. Keep up the good work guys.
