“Not our first time at Elmos, and once again it didn’t disappoint. We were lucky enough to catch the last round of truffle season ,the dishes were absolutely amazing. The service was 5-star, attentive and friendly throughout. The environment is cozy, surrounded by beautiful paintings and stylish décor.”
“Last night, after dinner was done, we went on a wild goose chase to find the holy grail of coffee and dessert spots - and boy, did we hit the mother lode with this place! The coffee was off the charts and the apple crumble was so divine it should have its own fan club - the chef is a culinary rock god! We also fell head over heels for the staff's super friendly vibes, especially Pranav, who's probably the nicest human on the planet. We ended up coming back for breakfast today and it was totally worth it - we can't recommend this place enough and we're already counting down the days until our next visit!”
“WOW, my 3rd visit to this establishment for celebrating birthdays and today a MOTHERS DAY high tea experience! This was outstanding, the wait staff really looked after our table despite the cheek I gave them all. The place settings and tea selection was first class, then came the delicious high tea style food plus hot savouries absolutely amazing and super delicious we managed to eat everything presented! After our feasting we all went for a stroll around the beautiful property, fantastic a wonderful place for wedding photo shoot! Oh and the venue of course. Thank you for the most enjoyable trouble free MOTHERS DAY celebration! No dishes or cleaning up required! Oh it would pay your team to water blast the signage it top front of your premises, my only fault! Arthur C. Charlton West Auckland NZ”
“A little piece of Belgium right in the heart of Mt Eden village. Food is good and there are some days with specials at a very nice price (need to purchase a drink to get the deal though). Service is good and sometimes speak French! Yay! Can be very busy at times!”
“The nicest coffee! The food is delicious and the decor is lovely. Staff are very welcoming and attentive. Great outdoor space and big playground for the kids too. They allow dogs inside and out.”
“Great find in Manukau. Great food. Excellent coffee. Friendly service. Really appreciated not being faced with the same old, same old that so many cafes offer these days where you can tell, being a retired cafe owner, where the product has come from. Great selection of fresh and well presented cabinet food and nice brunch and lunch menu selection as well so you pick quick offerings on the go or to linger over a beautifully made coffee ☕️”
“First time here and came after seeing the reviews. It absolutely didn't disappoint. Went for the seafood tartare to start which was really beautifully flavoured with hints of corriander and so fresh. Then went for one of the Wagyu scotch options. Had it medium rare upon recommendation from our lovely waitress. It was possibly one of the most beautifully flavoured tender pieces of steak ever. Both of us went for the same steak. If I come again I'll probably go for a few more side orders, went for the creamed spinach which was lovely. Will definitely return! Highly recommend and I am very fussy!”
“The server was very nice, and the overall atmosphere and decor of the place was more business-y than just relaxing. I felt like the music was on the louder side as well. The eggs benedict was delicious (the hash brown was SO crunchy, and I could cut it with my knife as well), and the matcha latte was alright, though it was more on the sweeter side than I would've liked. The food was on the pricier side (which was to be expected in CBD). I'd recommend going with colleagues or friends/dates that prefer more middle to high-end looking cafes. There were lots of space, but most tables were suited for 2 people.”
“Dinned in a few times over my stay this week and everything was great! Perfect steak, crispiest potato’s, a fun spin on the classic devilled eggs, pork chop (excuse my mess) and even the room service Club sandwich was enormous! Washed down with a great wine list and good pick me up coffee in the morning.”
“Our go to for a good pub burger, steak & fries and a cold one. Awesome karaoke & music in the background. A proper NZ pub for sure! Would highly recommend if your wanting a good pub feed.”
“Took about 20 minutes to be prepared but well worth the wait, massive portion size, and delicious, amazing place”
“Breakfast here is genuinely excellent. It’s at the top-end price-wise but the quality is superb and the portions generous. I had the ‘big’ breakfast (mixed grill I think it was called?) and my fellow diner had the caponata and raved about it. I wish I photographed them before we started…. The service was also excellent. Highly recommended.”
“Excellent burgers. Slightly oversalted fries but the burger was spot on. Crispy edges with a juicy center, great balance of flavors, and the bun held everything together without getting soggy. The best burger in devonport”
On the plate at Rosemead Takeaway (Fish and Chips), the idea is simple, bistro‑style and well judged. Front‑of‑house runs with calm, helpful energy. Pricing lines up with the offer. Serve sizes show solid value.
Mama Sila Catering & Services favours a simple, bistro‑style mix with clear flavours. Service stays present without fuss. Portions are generous yet well judged. Value feels fair for the quality. Meals...
“Great choices of low carb foods, I guess that's why it's located beside the gym and pool. Glade I had the half portion breakfast platter, very decent portion~ Egg was poached perfectly, mushroom was fresh and perfect, plenty of greens~ Veggie hash has to be my fav this time, you get all the goods nothing bad~ Will definitely be back to try other things on the menu~”
“Awesome selection of food, everything you might want, Mexican, Burgers, wood fired pizza, Spanish and Vietnamese as well as a licenced bar. It's got a lovely nicely decorated interior for the food court with nice seating! Just what the village needed.”
“Really good fish and chips! Had a piece of battered snapper (fab) and a scoop of chips. The chips were good and crispy which is hard to find! My partner had the fish burger and said that was tasty too. We had 2 scoops between us and it was a very generous serving.”
“Love this place! We are huge fans and regularly eat here! Steamed pork & prawn dumplings, fried rice with egg and crispy sweet & sour pork are on regular repeat for us. Either you dine in or takeaway the food is always fresh and delicious. Highly recommend!!”
“Thai friends is one of the most authentic Thai restaurants in Auckland. They do a damn good pad Thai and a killer drunken noodles. Excellent food and excellent service. Sterling Arnet Kakapo Business Sales”
“We had our function held in this restaurant and was looked after by one of their workers named Shania. She was extremely helpful and was really patient when we communicate with her, she was also enthusiastically conversing with us. Her service made our experience in this restaurant outstanding. Shania was really fast and efficient when it comes to bringing the food on time and also taking our used plates and glasses. Thank you so much for an amazing service! We will definitely choose to eat here again when we have another function or even just to eat in here.”
“The food was absolutely delicious! The chicken salad was especially tasty, the pork ribs were full of flavor, and my kids loved the jerk chicken burger. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!”
“My family, partner and I visited Paper Moon last night (with a reservation) and we were given the honour of being served by Lucy. Lucy was a great server, she was friendly and didn't talk as if she was reading off a script. We'd all 100% go back just to be served by her. She also recommended that we moved tables as the table we were on previously was tiny for the 4 of us. Not long after switching tables (roughly 5-10 minutes) the table was properly sanitized and cleaned by another server. So cleanliness was a 10/10! Onto the food, we got the Grazing Board appetizer to start and there was such a wide variety of samplers and everything was extremely well made, tender and flavourful. Great starter; 9/10. But along with the appetizer we ordered, I got a chocolate milkshake. I had my expectations high, maybe a bit too high. To everyone it just tasted like milk with a very VERY slight hint of chocolate. 5/10; you're better off with a soda or water. My partner ordered the Scotch Fillet and they loved it, though I felt as though it was too charred on the top. Overpowering the taste of the steak. But the steak fries that came with it were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Overall; 8/10. My mum ordered the Grilled Salmon with Risotto, the salmon completely melted in your mouth, vegetables were perfectly cooked, not too hard, not too soft. This would make a perfect 10/10 dish, but I think the risotto was a bit too salty. Which kind of made anything that was touching it have a distinct saltiness taste. I'd give this another 8/10. My pop ordered the Beef Wellington, which we were told would take 30 minutes, but it came out with almost everything else. Everything tasted amazing. From the pastry down to the sauce. The beef was perfectly rendered and the pastry had a small amount of cheese separating it from the pâté. Even the mushrooms in it were extraordinaire. The only complaint he had with it was that it was a bit too small, but I give it a 9/10. And finally, I ordered the Salt & Pepper Squid Salad. Which at the time I was surprised that it took the longest, everyone's food had already come out and it took maybe an extra 5 minutes. I didn't expect much from a salad but when it came out I understood why it took longer. This was by far the best and biggest salad I have ever seen and ordered. We also thought the squid was going to be small cuts of squid but it ended up being multiple big tender-sized chunks of squid that were perfectly tender and fell apart in your mouth. The salad itself was a bit flavourless but if you incorporate the sauce/dressing that's given with it, it becomes a whole lot better. This, in my opinion was the best dish of the night. 10/10. Now, onto dessert! When we were thinking of what to order we had asked Lucy how big the desserts usually are and instead of her telling us some fancy wording on why it's small, she told us straight up, which we loved. We ordered the Tiramisu and the New York Cheesecake, both were quite small but it was a good portion for the 4 of us considering we were all full from our mains. The Tiramisu wasn't the best I've had, but it was definitely a sight for sore eyes. Looking at it I felt like I had travelled to Italy! The mascarpone was pretty good but the lady fingers were too hard and crunchy. It was as if I was eating a scotch finger. I give it a 7/10. And as for the New York Cheesecake, it was amazing. It was moist, flavourful and the base was a perfect texture and consistency. Though it was a bit too flavourful. The berry and passionfruit compote was very overpowering. If you put them together all you can taste is the passionfruit, but if you try it separately it just becomes too much, so try the cheesecake with a small pinch of the compote. Overall I give it an 8.5/10. We just want to give a big thank you to Lucy for an unforgettable night and we will definitely come back just for you! This is a great place for a family dinner, a date night or just drinks with your mates. Come give this place a try! (All pictures hopefully in the same order)”
“A random stop with my sister n law who was visiting from Melbourne. Had a lovely breky & coffee, very well priced & great service.”
“I had the pleasure of visiting The Grange in Takapuna, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The restaurant offers a warm and welcoming environment with a modern yet relaxed atmosphere, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, and created a comfortable dining experience. The food was exceptional — beautifully presented and full of flavour. From the freshly baked focaccia with whipped ricotta and honey to the charcuterie board, the starters set a high standard. The mains were equally impressive; the creamy chicken and bacon alfredo was rich and delicious, while the market fish with squid ink risotto was refined and perfectly cooked. For vegetarians, the pumpkin risotto with truffle peas and goats’ cheese is a standout dish. The beverage selection was also excellent, offering a great variety of wines and drinks that paired nicely with the meals. Overall, The Grange delivers not only in terms of quality food and drinks but also in creating a friendly and enjoyable dining environment. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great dining experience in Takapuna.”
“Was beautiful food Great presentation Great sized meals very generous sized loved it”

“The pear French toast was incredible! And the views, aesthetics, staff and atmosphere were amazing. Such a great spot for a walk in Auckland. They catered for dietaries and intolerances. Highly recommend. @kirbystaltari”
“OMG! How did we not find out about this place sooner?!!! It's so close to home and plenty of free parking available nearby. This is a local hidden gem and such a great restaurant for genuine Italian food. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and was absolutely spotless! Staff were very welcoming, and they went out of their way to ensure that we enjoyed our dining experience. We have never had better garlic pizza bread, as it just melted in your mouth. We both had a prawn cocktail for our entree, which was so packed full of prawns and scrumptious. I was beginning to get a bit full after all this, but I got halfway through an entree size calamari that was also tender and delicious. This is now going to be our new favourite place and if I don't overdo the garlic bread again, perhaps I will even get to try the desserts, too!!!”
