Absolutely disgusted at the hospitality, We are locals always visiting this fish and chips shop 1-3 times a week. We went in Saturday evening our meal come to $77 once we paid the card declined, after checking the bank we were $2 short, I explained we had 5 kids playing up in the car screaming for dinner it’s $2 short it’s going to take 1 hour for the $2 to transfer if I left my drivers licence would you be happy to let us off the $2 just so we could feed our children and in a hour I’ll be back to pay the money. I was already embarrassed that the card declined, then declined $2 even though I was willing to pay $75 and leave my license. Majority of the story is whanau, know your worth! spend your money where your going to be looked after, bussiness is bussiness yes but without customer consumption there is no such thing. We come to this place knowing it’s expensive, but knowing we’re doing our part supporting small kiwi businesses rather than cheap giant food companies. Rosemead do better! look after the community that looks after your bank account.

Only since after level 4 lockdown has this bakery been worthy. The new owners are nice and they make some yummy as food. The snack box is a hit, almost always cooked fresh. Although some things are better than others I think they still trying to suss out the crowd but all in all it’s gotten way better!
