“The atmosphere and customer service at this place was amazing. We sat outside and it was steady in terms of customers. A friend and I attended for afternoon cocktails and dinner and the food was absolutely sensational. We ordered the olives, the bread with burrata, the lamb and the beef and honestly the amount of food for the quality and taste of the food was unmatched. The service was quick - polite - all round a great experience. Will be going back again soon for sure!!!”

“I have been wanting to visit this place for a while to have their famous roast and was worth the wait. I also like the atmosphere. Very good bar and a fantastic place to watch sports. Update: Normally I always go for the amazing Sunday roast dinner, but on my last visit I noticed the updated menu and saw they had Gammon, Egg, and Pineapple with hand-cut fries. I haven’t had that in years, and it’s rare to see on a menu these days. The nostalgic taste was absolutely amazing! Highly recommended. I would highly recommend booking in advance for a table in the weekends as this places gets busy and I can see why. Still fantastic service and great staff.”

“Amazing food. Amazing service. I booked through the “first table app” for something new and different. If it wasn’t for the “first table app” I wouldn’t have discovered this little gem. I wasn’t expecting such delicious food. Very tasty and comforting food. I highly recommend this place to my friends and family. I hope to be back again for the cream brûlée because it was to die for. The only down side is it’s noisy depending on the day you go, parking can be difficult and the bathroom is not maintained properly but other than that the place is perfect.”

“Look. If you want to feel looked after and have a good feed come here. The staff are excellent and the food is delicious, second time being here and it’s still as good as the first time. I came back the second time because I knew that this place would be outstanding. I made good memories here with friends. Not gonna lie, this will be the worst part about leaving NZ. So if you come to Auckland and don’t want delicious food and a relaxing atmosphere to have a few pints in, aswell as be treated so bloody well by the staff. Go somewhere else.”

“Good spacious cafe and bar with great cabinet selection. However, the product and display's name were inconsistent so we ordered the wrong thing (we looked at the name). Ordered a mocha but it was so bitter, not my taste personally. The staff was friendly.”

From the start to the end the service, meal and attention was first class. “I'm giving Portofino 5 stars all around as we absolutely loved the food, service, and atmosphere during our holiday in New Zealand. It was so good that we visited them again before we left...twice in one week for dinner! I definitely recommend dining at Portofino. All of the food we ordered were great from the Lasagna Al Forno, Fettuccine Di Pollon, Vegetarian Fettuccine Vegetarian, Cannelloni Casanostra. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They even offered and opened the window and had fresh air while enjoying our meals. We forgot to take pictures of our food the first time we dined in...that's how great it was! “LOVE this place!! Food is always so freshly made and great flavours. Definitely takes me back to Thailand! If you’re a fan of fresh seafood, then you need to try the raw prawn salad. Love their curry puffs and money bags, super crunchy and comes with a really good sauce. Their sizzling plate is also amazing with some coconut rice. Service here is always so friendly, totally recommend!”

“I love this place!!! It may be on a main road but the atmosphere inside the courtyard walls is beautiful…. a feel of Italy. We were greeted warmly and found a lovely seat in the sun where we thoroughly enjoyed the coffee and delicious food brought to us. I ordered the beef burger without buns and my son had the fish salad… both were spot on! I can’t wait to come back on an evening and enjoy the courtyard, with the festoon lights and a glass of wine with another Del meal!”

“We live near the Auckland CBD and it took less than 20 minutes to get to this beautiful estate. The food was beyond delicious. I’m not a very experienced wine drinker, so I went with one of the wines the server recommended (pinotage) and it was a great choice that paired well with what we ordered. The service was excellent and the venue was lovely. Would absolutely recommended to any couple looking for a great lunch to be enjoyed outdoors (as we did) or indoors if the weather isn’t as nice as it was today.”
