We arrived thinking we were visiting a nice little cheap and cheerful Italian, judging by the ratty vinyl table tops at the entrance and scruffy decor. What a surprise to find although the a good size menu, how expensive it was! $48-$58 for a main and $32.50 for a small pizza and $47.50 for a large, holly moely, this is more expensive than the mains at Gilt Brasserie! We live local have children and love to be able to pop out and have a night off dinner but this is not a place that caters for children or value for money. The food was o.k but certainly not reflective of the prices, sadly will not be going back.

If you're looking for the best local Italian restaurant, this is it! The atmosphere has an authentic old-school vibe that feels warm and welcoming. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making the entire dining experience enjoyable from start to finish. The food is outstanding – from traditional pasta dishes to hearty mains, everything is cooked to perfection. And the pizzas? Simply amazing! Perfectly crispy crust, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. Whether you're out for a casual meal or celebrating a special occasion, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend it to anyone craving authentic Italian flavors!

Lovely staff, and cute venue, however i cannot say the same about the food, the pizza was super cheesy but a bit bland and quite expensive for what it was, we got a β€œfilled” pasta dish that had a minuscule amount of filling and a watery sauce - paid $23 for a starter size! My friends steak which came in a redwine and peppercorn sauce was sour and clumpy. It tasted so bad we had to get a whole new dish (which they kindly replaced free of charge) but even then the steak was chewy, the potatoes it came with were okay but not worth $52! Sadly wont be returning and wouldn't recommend - very overpriced for the quality of food.

Firstly I want to say the staff is very friendly and really nice, they really look after you. But I am here for food I went in once and got a veg pizza.. and it was dripping liquid ( usually happens when the sauce is watery ). I thought they were just having a bad day so I went in again the next day and this time I had a chicken pizza and again it was dripping and went on my clothes. I haven't tried all the foods but the pizzas are definitely not worth $19. Like I can get better pizza for less at pizza hut what was the point of me coming to this restaurant :(

We were Very nicely received without reservation. Deliciously fresh salad & natural unadulterated calamari with fresh lemon .. just like in Italy .such a treat sitting outdoors in the last of the afternoon sun , great to find a family owned operation serving genuine European home style dishes...

Wonderful Pizza! Probably the best I have ever tasted and that says a lot because I am very critical when comes to pizza. The pizza bread entree was served up rather quickly and was a delicious surprise while enjoying our chilled beers. Fredo, the host was very friendly and made sure we were given a great dining experience. The staff where nice and saw to our orders expediently. We dined at the tables outside, which was great during early evening. Inside the restaurant there was a more intimate dining room and a couple extra areas for even more privacy. Ask for their Italian Wine and beers, export quality. 5+ Stars in suburban Auckland.
