Really nice restaurant with friendly accommodating service staff and such lovely food. A place to go to in Kumeu! One point that needs attention...please do something about the men's loos ...they re a bit smelly!

Went to Soljans this afternoon for our work Christmas lunch - Christmas menu well thought out with a choice of turkey, fish, pork or gnocchi. I had the roast pork loin - couldn't fault it, it was absolutely excellent. Plus picked up a bottle of their pinotage wine on the way out.

We live near the Auckland CBD and it took less than 20 minutes to get to this beautiful estate. The food was beyond delicious. I’m not a very experienced wine drinker, so I went with one of the wines the server recommended (pinotage) and it was a great choice that paired well with what we ordered. The service was excellent and the venue was lovely. Would absolutely recommended to any couple looking for a great lunch to be enjoyed outdoors (as we did) or indoors if the weather isn’t as nice as it was today.

Great spot for lunch, the food was exceptional. Didn’t realise it was so close to Auckland CBD. No need to take the ferry to Waiheke with great local wineries like this one! We did a wine tasting too and the team were knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely be back. Bonus that it’s dog friendly so will take my dog next time, plenty of outdoor seating.

Stopped there today for lunch. Not disappointed. Place is beautiful. Very friendly stuff. Sun was shining which was great to have some food outdoors. We ordered the chicken breast and fish and chips. Chicken breast was outstanding. For myself I felt the portion wouldnt be enough but having some chips was the right amount for a person. Tasted amazing. Fish and chips was great. Massive shout out for the mayo with a bit of citric flavour. That thing was YUMMY. Changed the whole experience. Dessert was not that great though. Appearence was amazing but the chocolate brownie cake was very dry. It needed something to go together. The cake portion was too big for the ice-cream which finished first so eating the cake by itself wasn't the best experience. Overall the desert didn't ruin the great time we had there. Defs a place I would go again and try another plates.

Service & food were hit n miss. Fish of the day was dry; parts of the duck were rubbery however, cauliflower steak was great. But please tell the cook to learn to cook brussel sprouts properly! Would we go back...nope.

Came on the weekend with some friends and had a fabulous time! We were treated to some delicious food (absolutely loved the Vintners Platter, Gnocchi and the beef cheek) and of course, lots of the fusion sparkling rose was had!! Also really loved the Gewürztraminer and bought some lovely Port for my mum (she really loved this the last time we came!). Really awesome chatting to the staff when looking at the variety of wines as well - so helpful! Thanks Soljans for a great time! Can't beat a good meal with some fab wine out in a lovely setting!

Absolutely deserving of the 5 stars! On arrival, we were greeted warmly and shown to a table with a beautiful view of the vineyard and vines. Our entire meal was delicious, but the real standouts were the Gnocchi and the Ćevapčići. We also loved the Trio of wines - with the best Chardonnay I've tried! We will be back!

Normally I don't use my account for reviews but as a food critic this was one of the worst experiences, no greeting once we entered the premises, and also felt uncomfortable me and my wife set at a table and then we've got told that this table has been reserved. And also we got told that we don't have to reserve a table you can go sit anywhere we paid so much for the meal but the experience was disgusting. As a food critic and a blogger, I would not recommend anyone to go here. Honestly, they don't even deserve 1 star.
