Our group came up from Wellington and were genuinely impressed. The food was outstanding, the vibe was beautiful, and the team showed real manaakitanga (warm, caring hospitality). We enjoyed it so much we returned a few nights later! Awesome service, delicious food, and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. Pine Harbour Eatery is a must-visit.

From the moment we arrived at Pine Harbour Eatery, it was clear that this is a place where thoughtful craftsmanship meets genuine hospitality. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between relaxed and refined β€” intimate lighting, a subtle hum of conversation, and a menu that reads like a love letter to both comfort and creativity. We ordered two grilled beef sirloins with crispy potatoes, yuzu dressing salad, shiitake sauce, and nam jim jaew β€” a combination that proved both daring and deeply satisfying. The beef sirloin was grilled with remarkable precision: tender, deeply caramelized on the outside, and perfectly pink at its center. The umami-rich shiitake sauce brought a depth that echoed slow, thoughtful cooking β€” earthy, slightly smoky, and beautifully balanced against the meat’s natural sweetness. Then there were the crispy potatoes β€” golden, delicate on the outside yet cloud-soft within. They carried that satisfying crunch that only comes from meticulous preparation, and they absorbed the surrounding sauces without ever losing their structure. The yuzu dressing salad was a masterstroke of contrast. The citrus brightness from the yuzu lifted the richness of the beef and potatoes, offering a refreshing interlude between each bite. It was crisp, aromatic, and beautifully plated, adding not just flavor but a sense of balance to the entire dish. And finally, the nam jim jaew β€” what a surprise. Its sweet-spicy-tangy personality brought a flash of Southeast Asian vibrancy that tied every element together. It didn’t compete with the shiitake sauce; instead, it conversed with it, making the dish a true dialogue of flavors. To accompany this, we had two tropical cocktails, each one an artwork in itself. Bright, fruit-forward, and perfectly chilled, they carried that elegant equilibrium between sweetness and acidity β€” the kind of drink that reminds you why a good cocktail can elevate an entire dining experience. The garnish was as thoughtful as the flavor: fresh, aromatic, and effortlessly stylish. In all, Pine Harbour Eatery delivers not just food, but an experience of harmony and finesse. Every component on the plate feels intentional β€” every sip and bite woven into a coherent story of technique and imagination. A five-star experience, without question. Pine Harbour Eatery doesn’t just serve meals β€” it curates memories.

Ohhh DELICIOUS food here. I had the cashew and prawn stir fry which was so tasty, fresh and perfect size. My husband ordered massaman curry. The iced chocolates are really special. I look forward to going back. The view of the marina is super pretty.

If you have not been then I suggest you go. Staff are absolutely fantastic and the food is generous and delicious. Ordered far too much and forgot to take photos of the mains. Sweet and sour pork was amazing. Also the muscles and beef entrees were delicious. Highly recommend the place. Photo is of the deep fried icecream.
