A friend recommended this restaurant to us & we're so glad she did. The staff & service were great, as was the food. We were seated & served promptly & all told, it was a 45 minute experience from being seated to leaving, yet we didn't feel at all rushed & we left wanting to return. “I have ordered food from this place, have never visited. But I love their food. I tried their fish curry last time and it took me back to the backwaters of Kerala. I decided to try some other dishes, ordered Mutton Sukka and boy, I was amazed! If you are craving authentic spicy, flavoursome curries, definitely give this a try.”

“A bonus that this restaurant is part of the hotel we’re staying in. Great atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff, absolutely delicious food. Steak and chips, cook exactly how we asked, accompanied by truffle butter. Chicken Tikka, with a trip of dips, accompanied by garlic naan, and rice. Not too spicy (perfect for those who don’t like spice) my favourite dip was the tzatziki style. Kids meals come with a drink and dessert. Mac and cheese, perfect size for for kids, my son enjoyed it but I through it was too cheesy. Ice cream sundae was very cute, 1 single scoop with marshmallows, sprinkles and wafers. “Pop in there awhile ago with some family members for dinner, out of the five of us I was the only vegetarian, I was very happy with the selection of meals I had to choose from, my meal was very tasty and great, I know the rest of my family were very happy with their meals, The staff were great and friendly and were very helpful with any questions you may have when you are having trouble ordering, their prices are good you really get your money wroth here, they do sell liquor here but it’s also BYO but if I remember correctly it’s little charge for being your own, overall it was awesome night, it’s awesome to have such a great Restaurant in the heart of Newtown!! “New World is very close to my house and the best place to go shopping to. It has food for years, has food for anything you’re looking to get. They have a good service, very easy shopping with the staff and clearly marked aisles. They have kind chatty staff and the staff can easily help you find what you’re looking for. They never run out of stock, so if what you’re looking for isn’t there, ask staff to get it. New World is definitely one of the greatest shopping markets in NZ.”

“Great location, the were able to accommodate all 30 of us, and the space worked really well for 13 kids in our group! Everyone enjoyed the food, my wife and I went for the schnitzel which was a decent size, and came paired with really nice coleslaw salad an sauce. I had the chance my son's fried chicken which was delicious! there was a lot going on for a Sunday, as they had salsa dancing and the music was LOUD! we didn't mind, but some in our group made a comment as they couldn't hear each other. I'd say it's a great place with very nice atmosphere, and they have great food and fantastic service, will definitely come again.”
