We were a large group (last night), but that didnβt faze the staff - they were amazing! They were so attentive, helpful and friendly. All ages & dietary requirements were met with such care. Food was beautifully presented & absolutely delicious. We look forward to a return visit next time weβre in Wellington.
As a pub it ticks all the boxes of being a dry warm place with tables and chairs, clean toilets and competent staff. However, we had the tiniest pizza we've ever seen, and for $24! It just felt like ordering on Temu! literally never coming back because of this. PIZZA FOR ANTS!
A group of us popped into the village pub for a quick early meal prior to a Zealandia night visit. We had great service from the really friendly staff. Three of us had the chicken burger which was a little disappointing. Small burger. Quite small dry chicken breast piece and lacking flavour and filling. The option to add bacon & cheese might have been a better choice but that's an extra cost. Fries needed more cooking. Overall looks like a nice spot for a beer on a weekend afternoon, great staff but the food needs attention.
It was quiz night and Nikau, our server was so great ! Even though it was a busy night, it was made memorable by such thoughtful, and quick service. We had overseas guests with us and we really enjoyed our night. Best steaks !
The service here is amazing! Our waitress came over just the right amount of times, made great drinks recommendations and all the food came out in quick succession. Loved the tiramisu, you could really taste the coffee. Also quite reasonably priced eg $20 for a pizza. Overall was a great friendly, relaxed vibe and I would definitely recommend.
Amazing food, lovely service and the kids food is actual good food rather than frozen supermarket fish fingers you often find on other restaurants kids menus. They were booked out but they made an effort to get us a table anyway. 10/10 would recommend eating here!
Fantastic little pub with an excellent selection of drinks and a great food menu. Unsung hero of the margarita scene. If you're a fan of Margaritas I'd definitely suggest a visit to KVP. I've taken a few friends here now and they've always been pleasantly surprised and had a great time. The staff are super friendly and helpful and if you're sat outside they're very timely in coming over if you're after a top up. Couldn't recommend more highly, definitely worth venturing out the CBD for.
My family and I had a lot of pleasure of having our lunchtime there! There was a lot of free space in Upland Rd to park our car. A ramp is available for the disabled person. It was quiet (at lunchtime), the service was nice and quick (less than 20min after order), and it was tasty!!!! A kid menu is available and they participate at the Wellington On A Plate event. The portions were not too big, but enough for kids and adults. For sure, we'll come back there, probably to test the tap beers ;)
