First time tried & definitely won't be the last. Everything, from the online booking process to the payment at the end (& of course everything in between) was on point, easy & prompt. A friend recommended this restaurant to us & we're so glad she did. The staff & service were great, as was the food. We were seated & served promptly & all told, it was a 45 minute experience from being seated to leaving, yet we didn't feel at all rushed & we left wanting to return. I definitely recommend as a must try restaurant.

Tastes good, incredible variety of dishes, great portions, value pricing and amazing decor. Very few restaurants are as well decorated as Sabaidee, I honestly love how colourful and interesting every part of the spacious restaurant looks. With a high ceiling and plenty of seats, this would be a great place to host large gatherings and events. But you go to a restaurant for food, so how was that? For it's price range, it is amazing. ~$25 will be enough for a number of full meals which come with sauces, meat, vegetables and soup.

My husband had Chicken Khao Pud (Fried Rice), which he said was nothing special, uninspiring. I had Tofu Pud Gra Tium Prik Thai (mild) which I thought was delicious. Pros: 1. Portion sizes are good. 2. Boiled/steamed rice came at no extra cost. 3. Good and extensive range of options on the menu, including vegetarian. Cons: 1. Decor is dated and cheap. 2. They charge for literally everything, including $10 accidental damage to glasses (N/A to us). $15 cakage fee, we didn't need this, but cake for a celebration eg. birthday, I personally think a cakage fee is pretty low on the customer service scale tbh. It says a lot about the establishments understanding of customer service and it's not positive in my opinion. 3. I had to put my own food in my own "doggy bag". A first for me, usually it's taken away and returned in a container. I watched other customers have to do the same. Strange! Not great customer service. 4. I had a Rosebud cocktail and a Espresso Martini, they tasted watery to me and I couldn't taste or sense the alcohol. Boring is all I can say to the drinks. 5. Service was slow.

Absolutely fantastic- stopped in for some dinner on my way through Wellington and was super happy with the friendly service, tidy and inviting atmosphere, and most of all the delicious food. I had a spicy green curry and a party in Mekong cocktail and couldn’t recommend enough. Full of flavour and big portions.Thank you for a lovely meal!

We've got takeaways three time and we've always been pleased with the flavors. Sometimes veges didn't feel very fresh and Roti was more expensive last time we bought. We wish the rice portions were bigger to match the side portions which were quite generous. Overall the best Thai food we've had in Wellington region.

I loved the green curry and crunchy roti. I didn’t like summer rolls as they were tasteless rather should have ordered spring rolls or some other starters. It was just raw vegetables filling so no taste at all but can consider healthy. Ambiance, interior and service was great. I will try explore other options and other dishes next time. They allow BYO.

Sawadee krap, brilliant spacious restaurant on the Eastern end of Jackson St. Portion sizes are massive, no complaints here all got polished off. Minus one - as one of our party found out you don't take on the 'Hot' level of spice or you'll look like you've seen a ghost and be questioning the meaning of life. All the waitresses were excellent and service was quick and friendly. Chairs/thrones a little uncomfortable.

Food came out fast and looked good but underwhelmed us sadly. The veggie curry sauce was too sweet. The crispy pork wasn’t that crispy and the pork was dry. The spare ribs looked amazing but again the sauce was really sweet and the rice was rather rubbery.
