“We like that it’s a small hole in the wall brick oven pizza place. Perfect for in and out. It is very nice, comfortable and welcoming. Fast & friendly service and pizza was superb. We got the Carne. Crust was thin, soft on the inside and a perfect slight chewiness on the outside. Also perfect amount of sauce & cheese. We totally enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend this place.”

“We tried this place a few weeks ago whilst travelling down to the South Island. We spent the next three weeks of our trip looking for another place with as good food and friendliness and couldn’t find it, so we just had to come back on our way driving to Auckland. “I first visited this heart warming spot a year ago to celebrate my little brother's bday. Since then every mention of Vietnamese food has had me thinking about the exquisite crispy pork summer rolls, the most delectable Watermelon long island cocktail and the Pho - the Pho actually deserves its own 5 star review to be truthful, its succulent, amazingly flavorful, and its amazing flavour profile makes it feel like its good for your soul. When my brother offered to fly me down again this year for his birthday, one thing was on my mind PhoViet. And it was truly worth the wait. Walking in you often get greeted by Alex, the owner who makes you feel so welcomed and like your part of the family there. Remembers the orders of his regulars, and ensures you are always well fed. Alex greeted us and remembered me even after a year and ensured myself and my little brother had an amazing time eating truly fantastic food and enjoying amazing drinks. Big thank you to Alex and his team. I will be thinking about those summer rolls and those Watermelon long islands until I managed to get back to wellington to visit again.”

“Dining at Polemo the other night was an absolute treat. Nestled right on the waterfront, the restaurant offers not just stunning views but also exceptional food and service. The beef short ribs were a standout—so tender and flavorful they quite literally melted in your mouth. The pork belly roll was equally impressive, perfectly seasoned to bring out its rich flavours. A special shoutout to Kevin for his excellent menu recommendations, and to Kelly who is a dessert queen that panna cotta was phenomenal!”

“I've been to a lot of the sushi places around Wellington, and IMO Domo Sushi is one of the best. The staff are always very friendly and talkative, the sushi tastes really nice and is well presented, and they have some good flavours which you would t find at the other sushi stores. This place also feels quite a bit more authentic than the other sushi stores around.”

“Went here for my birthday. Tried a few of the starters, such as garlic bread, bruschetta, 3 cheese arancini, and the Provolone al forno. All were really good, and i could eat an endless amount of the Provolone al forno. I got the carbonara, and was nice and creamy. Tiramisu for dessert was good too.”

“Great vegan indian meal in Wellington! The service was amazing and the lunch deal is just great value for money. I followed the advice of the waiter and ordered Kadai Soya and it was just amazing. The vegan roti could be improved but still tasty. There are some construction works outside but didn't really bother during the meal. Highly recommend it!”

“We ordered Tom Yum Soup and Panang Curry with Rotis for dinner. The Tom Yum soup was delicious, great portion and done to perfection. I found the Panand curry too creamy for my liking, may be that's how it is prepared, the taste was good. Rotis and Satay sauce was very good too. Service was good. The new place on Cuba is lovely. The fan wasn't working so it was a bit smokey but the food made up for it! Overall we loved their food and definitely recommend if you like Thai food.”

“We were in a pineapple mood, so tried the pineapple stirfry with chicken and a red curry and pineapple with chicken. Both came with a small amount of rice. If you enjoy rice with more than half your bites, order an extra side. The chicken satay skewers were an ok way to start the meal. The real stars were the pineapple dishes! Service is good and the food was delivered quickly.”

“Friend recommended coming here last Thursday, lucky he did, what a great experience. Sat in front of the kitchen so we could watch our food being prepared. Ordered osyters, tomato salad, fried chicken, korean fried rice, beef shin and a couple of deserts. I must say, the fried chicken was definitely the stand out dish with the fried rice coming in 2nd. Chicken was juicy, tender and super crunchy but not oily at all! Too bad it was a special for the night and not on the main menu. Staff are awesome too, they were willing to chat while preping the food, headchef even came to have a bit of a chat with too. Booked a 2nd night for dinner on the spot, but unfortunately couldn't make it. Will definitely be going back.”
