Tried famous Chhole kulcha and chhole bhature. Restaurant was full so had to wait for couple of mins. Weekend is specially busy and famous for chhole brunch. Service and taste was good but overall over hyped and slightly over priced according to me. Hoping to try curries next time.
Best place in Wellington for Saturday morning breakfast. I starts at 10 am and they only serve Chole bhature and chhole kulche and tea. Food is really tasty and authentic Punjabi taste.
Best Indian food we’ve had in a very long time! We just bought a new house around the corner late last year and have been meaning to try this restaurant. We should have done it sooner! So flavourful and tasty, amazing food and very friendly staff. Wish I could’ve rated it more. Had the butter chicken and the lamb korma with two garlic naan’s. Super affordable and worth every cent.
This is by far the best Indian restaurant in the northern suburbs of Wellington if not in the city. Food is consistently delicious and fairly priced. They are generous with the spices that bring delicious flavours, and a unique traditional taste to the food. We order there almost weekly and always look forward to it. We never thought about writing a review before, but they are on holidays and we have tried most other Indian restaurants in the vicinity (out of necessity) and have not found anything comparable. Other restaurants put way too much sugar in the dishes for our taste and notably less spices. If you want traditional Indian food and love spices this is the place to go. We can’t recommend it enough.
Tried Amristsari kulcha and chole bhature ... scrumptious meal took me back to India street style amristsari kulcha...loved it.. Google shows shop is closed but actually it's open and you can get amristsari kulcha and chole bhature every Saturday till 12:00 noon
The chole khulche and chole bhaturr were unbelievably good. Saturday morning starts at 10 Am. Yes google says its close but its not. Yes the Biryani is disappointing here, this is not a biryani place, if u like northen india/punjabi food. This is the place. Goat curry and anything non vegetarian is great.
I bought today chicken biryani it was not edible it so spicy and full of crushed and whole pepper in the biryani I have also posted a picture in that I have only started eating the stuff and so much pepper. when I called them they said me its the supplier from where they get the masala and they cant do anything. Not the greatest experience.
