   Pomelo is one of those restaurants you’ll always remember. The attention to detail is exceptional — from the fresh flowers and harbour views to how beautifully the space is laid out. Everything feels thoughtful and intentional. The service is just as impressive: warm, genuine, and perfectly paced, so you feel truly welcomed rather than simply served. On top of all that, it’s owned and run by an incredible family, and you can really feel the heart and care in everything they do. A standout Wellington (& New Zealand) dining experience. I’ll continue to look forward to my next visit.

   Dining at Polemo the other night was an absolute treat. Nestled right on the waterfront, the restaurant offers not just stunning views but also exceptional food and service. The beef short ribs were a standout—so tender and flavorful they quite literally melted in your mouth. The pork belly roll was equally impressive, perfectly seasoned to bring out its rich flavours. A special shoutout to Kevin for his excellent menu recommendations, and to Kelly who is a dessert queen that panna cotta was phenomenal!

   A comfortable yet classy dining experience. The wait staff were friendly right from the door and just good vibes overall. Starters and mains were perfectly seasoned, must try the beef short rib and raw market fish. The cocktails are delicious too. But the stars were the desserts, not too sweet. Will definitely be back!

   Wellington’s hidden gem! Truly a shame that more people don’t know about this restaurant because it is some of the best food that I’ve had in Wellington. Lovely atmosphere, stunning views and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend the red duck curry with the BEST Roti ever and can’t go wrong with any of the small plates as they are all delicious.

   Easily the best restaurant in Wellington. Stunning views over oriental bay with an attentive and kind staff! Everything on the menu is delicious but if you can only try one thing (which would be a huge mistake) make it their duck curry, the sauce is fantastic and it’s the best duck I’ve eaten in my life!

   First time here, enjoyed my time. Lovely place and friendly staff. We got the table by the window overlooking Oriental Bay. As appetiser, we had the deep fried mushrooms which is not on the menu. It was very good! Crisp outer and juicy mushrooms. Yum! I had the duck curry with roti - mildly spicy with lovely roasted duck and juicy cherry tomatoes and lychees. Oh soo good! And had the beautifully presented coconut panna cotta as dessert. Wow! Would I recommend? Yes! Thanks for the lovely experience.
