Consistently very good food, incredible service, and good portions and value for money, a favourite local restaurant. Recommend the lamb dishes and the breads. Music is quiet for easy conversation, unlike many places.
Best Indian restaurant in wellington. Very warm welcoming staff. I ordered MALAI KOFTA with naan and is very delicious. Whenever I come to wellington from Paraparaumu I alaways prefer to have my lunch in curry heaven restaurant . I recommend to everyone to go to this restaurant. Thanks for delicious food.
Nothing better than a delicious curry here on a rainy day in PΕneke. King Prawn = Fantastic. only have an empty plate to show for it. Quickly scoffed the garlic naan after taking this pic and had a great end to the day.
A nice dining experience. Me and my wife ordered Rogan Josh without have a knowledge about the meal. Turns out it is very good!! The owner and staff are welcome. Engaging conversations and make sure we're happy with the food. And yes, we're very happy and looking for another time to returning here.
I recently had lunch at this Indian restaurant and it was a great experience! The owner is incredibly welcoming and clearly dedicated to improving the dining experience, which shows through in the food. He claimed of using fresh ingredients, especially the homemade paneer, stands out in the dishes β everything tasted fresh and flavourful. The $13 lunch special is an absolute steal for the quality and portion size, and the owner was very flexible with my order, making sure it was just right for my preferences. Highly recommend checking this place out!
My kids, grandchildren and I enjoyed a tasty meal here tonight. The Lamb Jalfrezi was the best I have ever tasted and the Goat Special was also delightful. This small restaurant could easily be overlooked but the simplicity of it adds to the charm. The service was friendly and welcoming. They do not have a liscence so bring your own, or just go for a really good curry and go out for drink later!!
Great portions, great service, great food We received a friendly welcome and very fast service. The owner himself came out to check on us during our meal. The space is intimate and the food.. Omg, we left full to the brim with delicious perfectly spiced dishes. Would definitely recommend for anyone who has dietary requirements as they are labeled on the menu.
May I share that I have, special occasion and randomly been eating from Curry Heaven for many years. I have always enjoyed the tastes of this place. Ambient, friendly, beyond local Newtown, and so deliciously enjoyable food. May I please ask that you come and enjoy to, like I have. Peace.
This might look like a tiny restaurant, but it has the most fabulous food and great atmosphere. We love it here. Their specialty curries are absolutely delicious. The gorgeous lady in charge is always charming and helpful. Support this business - it's part of the heart of Newtown and contributes to the vibrancy of this dynamic part of town. We make the 1 hour trip from where we live across town to this restaurant, and then shop at the second hand bookstores and buy vegetables at cheapest greengrocer in Wellington. Curry Heaven is simply the best!
Omg this place is soooo goood! Nice Service, awesome food and perfect price! We found out they have lunch special deal which is super duper cheap and bunch of foooood! You can get curry, nan and rice for only $11
