   I got one of the chef's signature dishes, chicken tikka lababrar. I gotta say it was good, but not so good that I would have guessed it's one of the chef's signature dishes. When asked how spicy I want it, I answered like in India and that's pretty much what I got (unlike many other restaurants that will make it mild). I also got a garlic naan, but it didn't taste like garlic much, and was a bit too oily for my taste - still a very good naan, though but I would maybe go with another variant next time. All said, I didn't leave unhappy at all, but I also wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

   I had an amazing experience at Indian Alley last week! The food was absolutely fantastic the spices, the taste, everything was perfectly on point. The biryani was especially delicious and packed with authentic flavor, and the desserts took me straight back to India. I also loved the warm and vibrant ambience of the place. A special shoutout to Manager Anil, who went out of his way to make our visit truly enjoyable. Highly recommend this place if you're craving real Indian food in a great setting!

   We visited Indian Alley Wakefield during our very first trip to Wellington (we’re from Sydney), and we were absolutely blown away by the experience! From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed. The ambience was vibrant yet cozy – perfect for a relaxing evening out. A special shoutout to Anil Kumar and Jacob who looked after us with such warmth and professionalism. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home, explaining the menu, offering great recommendations, and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Their service truly made our evening memorable. And the food – wow! Every dish was packed with authentic flavour and beautifully presented. You can really tell that the chefs put love into their cooking. We especially loved the butter chicken and garlic naan – absolutely divine! Highly recommend Indian Alley Wakefield to anyone in Wellington looking for delicious Indian cuisine with top-notch service. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

   Great vegan indian meal in Wellington! The service was amazing and the lunch deal is just great value for money. I followed the advice of the waiter and ordered Kadai Soya and it was just amazing. The vegan roti could be improved but still tasty. There are some construction works outside but didn't really bother during the meal. Highly recommend it!

   The food was really good. They have a large menu with a good mix of traditional curries, vegan options, and tasty Chef’s specials. Super high quality curries, tender meat, perfect rice, and tasty naan. To top it off, the service was fast and the price was great. New favourite Indian place in Wellington!

   We went for our son’s Birthday and he got butter chicken. He got mild butter chicken and he said it was the best butter chicken compared to other places. I personally thought it was too sweet since my spice level is way too high. I definitely enjoyed eating the Malabari fish with Pudina Paratha. It was so good. Great customer service & hospitality.

   Easily the best Indian restaurant we’ve tasted to date. Everything was on point from plating to taste. Gabriel who served our food was amazing and attentive.. we’ve ordered chicken Biryani, Tawa Masala, chicken Tikka Masala, chicken tikka labadar, tandoori chicken, cheese and garlic naan, fresh orange juice and mango lassi..my family was praising the food all night.. and its not too expensive.. value for money.. we love everything! We will definitely come back.. thank you!
