“Everything was great!! The staff were nice, the pizza was delicious and cheesy. The sprites were big which was good. We also got lemon cheese cake and cookies & cream gelato which was delicious. The only negative was the waiter staff didn’t ask if we wanted 2nd drinks.”

“Incredibly friendly staff and delicious food at terrific value. We ordered quite a spread to try out a few different things. The portions were very generous and well priced. The basil aioli is absolutely wonderful! It's the little things. Very comfortable environment too. Loved the place. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in the area!”

“There's not many times I rate places highly, but this is one of those – A fabulous evening for our, sort of, party of five (one was takeout due to illness) Our recent visit was an absolute delight, with each dish thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. We were a party of five, and the quality of both food and service exceeded expectations. Mains Birria Tacos (2 orders): The beef was exceptionally tender and juicy, cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Roasted Pepper Quesadilla: A standout dish with a perfectly crisp exterior, balanced by rich, melted cheese and tender roasted vegetables and fruits. Roasted Cauliflower: Simple yet delicious, this dish was well-seasoned and delicious. Chicken Quesadilla (Takeaway): Our youngest, who was unfortunately unable to join us due to a migraine, thoroughly enjoyed this dish at home. He said it was “really nice”. Sharing Plate Salsas and Dips with Corn Chips: A great starter for the table. The trio of dips was well-received, with the group informally ranking them 1-3 from left to right as presented in the picture. While the green dip was the least favoured, all were enjoyed and complemented the chips well. Desserts Churros (2 orders, 1 takeaway): These were a highlight. Both in-house and takeaway servings were praised for their crisp texture and were perfectly paired with chocolate and caramel sauces. In-House Special Sponge with Ice Cream (2 orders): A refined dessert with soft sponge and delicate flavours that matched beautifully with the ice cream. Overall, the experience was outstanding. The menu offered a limited, but wonderful variety, and each dish was crafted with care. We look forward to returning and highly recommend this restaurant to others.”

“Me and my family come by every so often. The food is always good and the staff are lovely. They've got a good range of drinks and desserts as well, although for the most part we stick to the dinner menu. Highly Recommend”

The staff is exceptionally friendly, and I’m always impressed by their excellent service. Their menu offers a variety of meals that cater to all dietary requirements, and I love that they keep it fresh and seasonal with exciting new options. The design of the shop captures a lovely New York vibe that's unique to Wellington, making each visit a special experience. However, I must address a recent review that was posted under my name. Unfortunately, my account was hacked, and that review was entirely untrue. I sincerely apologize for any confusion it may have caused. Machete Coffee Shop is a place I truly admire, and I can assure you that my experiences there have been nothing but positive. Thank you for all that you do, and I look forward to my next visit!”

“If you get the chance to visit, it is well worth it. The vegetarian roast was so good! Everything was cooked to perfection and the presentation on the desserts was really great! The staff were really friendly and the service was fast! The decor was beautiful too!”

“Hidden gem in the heart of city, might take a while to find the entrance at the first time but totally worth taking the adventure! No menu offered but warm gestures by the bartender with his wide knowledge and play magic to the create the tasty cocktail based on your preference. “Absolutely loved our visit here! I was down from Palmy visiting my son and he took me here for lunch. We were acknowledged as soon as we walked in the door — such friendly, genuine service. The staff went above and beyond and made us feel right at home. A special shout out to Piney who served us. She was the most beautiful, friendly and bubbly young lady. A real credit to Caffiend Cafe. The food was delicious — fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully served. You can tell there’s real care behind everything they do. A real gem. Can’t wait to come back!”

“Dined here for the first time and it was absolutely delicious! My friend and I got a medium big chicken pizza to share and it was so good! The place was very popular and the counter staff were friendly. Only downside to the experience was when I ordered a lemon meringue cheesecake and it was served to me still frozen so I had to have it takeaway, also we ordered garlic bread but they didn’t have any . Would definitely go back for the pizza though!”

“I recently tried a prawn curry, and I have to say it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were so well-balanced, with a perfect blend of spices and creamy coconut milk. The prawns were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy in every bite. It's easily one of the best prawn curries I've ever had, and I highly recommend it!”

“Saffron Haveli serves some of the best Indian food in Wellington! The chicken biryani is packed with flavour, and the butter chicken is rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Pairing it with their garlic naan takes the experience to another level. The food is fresh, and the portions are generous. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine!”

“OMG the "Pasion Ardiente (Burning Passion)" cocktail is the absolute BEST! Can ask for it to be less spicy if you want. Have never had such a delicious cocktail before, apart from my usual Pina Coladas. 1st time here, can't wait to come back. Great staff, atmosphere, and food looked amazing. We just came for drinks this time.”

“I loved this restaurant as I’m coming first time to this place. The staff Govu Sundar chef, as well as he was service staff as well. Govu Sundar was extremely good with his cooking skill and serving skills. He was the only one attended us. I strongly recommend this restaurant for everyone out there to experience Authentic taste of Indian food. I have tasted before but this is pure Indian taste. Govu Sundar is the great asset for this restaurant.”

“We had a really beautiful lunch at the Japanese restaurant upstairs here. The food was beautifully presented and the flavours were exquisite - and super fresh! The menu has a good range and the staff were very friendly. The set meals are quite generous. Go hungry or share, which is what we did. 5 stars.”

We had the pomegranate and home made lemonade drinks and they are divine. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience, the food is prompt and tasty and the service is excellent. We left full and impressed. We’ve been to Spain and the food at olé is authentic and awesome.”

“Came here for dinner on Saturday and the food was delicious! We ordered pretty much the entire tapas menu and nothing was disappointing. The staff were also really friendly :) Great experience and will definitely be back.”

“I have had lunch here on a weekday, and dinner on a Friday night but early. Both times I enjoyed the plant-based food and the atmosphere of the place. For dinner I had the fajita tofu bowl (pictured) - I cannot rant enough about how good and perfectly cooked their tofu is. Verrae nice: crunchy crust and not soggy. Both times I enjoyed having quite a few options to choose my meal from, and how fresh the ingredients are. It’s also handy that this restaurant is right on the beach, and handy for parking and the bus stops. Staff have been very responsive and helpful both times, so 5 stars it is! Will be back to try the other menu options.”

“I love this place so much! It's the kind of place where you absolutely know you are always going to get great service and amazing food. We went to try the Burger Wellington offerings, and unlike most other places, it was amazing for my non vegan partner and my vegan self to feel like we were both having the same experience, as there are matching burgers. I would absolutely recommend this place for a great meal out and even more so if you have a fur baby, as they have a whole extra menu, just for them!”

“We cannot get enough of this place, very well priced too. Always leave full and happy. Only disappointment is that they've removed the cheese dip and corn chip entree which was our favourite. Love the decor and the service is great even when very busy. Have tried a wide range of the meals and have loved every one of them. The margaritas are delicious too. Favourite restaurant by far.”

“Got badly let down by rosies red hot so came here for the first time. Blew every other Mexican gaff in welly out of the water. The best service we've had anywhere - amazing on the phone, great staff inside and simply amazing food. Walked past many times - this is now a firm family favorite.”

“What an awesome place!! This is possibly the best customer service I have ever experienced and some of the quickest food as well. Both servers were incredibly lovely and accommodating. My partner had the waffles, which he really enjoyed, and I had the breakfast burrito. Both so so good. Price was around $40 for 2 meals and a drink (incredibly good for the CBD) The atmosphere and vibe of this place was incredible, especially in the Sunday morning sun. Right in the CBD and next to bus stops, great location. We will 100% be coming back here again and recommending it to friends. Thank you so much for a lovely Sunday brunch.”

“We opted for a range of share plates in lieu of mains - the pull-apart garlic loaf, pork belly bites, bacon wrapped scallops and calamari. Four plates was enough to fill two of us up, and the food was AMAZING - just good food well prepared and executed. I stepped out to take a phone call and by the time I came back, our food had arrived. The staff were awesome - personable, attentive, authentic and helpful. Kate in particular put us right at ease and was the consummate host. A nice, quiet table, great music not too loud to preclude conversation, and staff that seem like they actually want to be here dealing with you... that was the point of difference! Highly recommended.”

“Beautiful pub with a good selection of beer and wine. Some specific NZ branded beer as well. I liked the ambience, the staff were very friendly and greeted with a smile. I will definitely recommend this place. Gorgeous wait staff as well ;) The portion of snack is perfect for a person as well.”
