“It's been a while since I've called into Coco Kai, but they always deliver on a yummy meal. The spareribs were practically falling of the bone & delicious. The Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich with curly fries went down a treat with our Fantas to wash it all down.”
“Me and my family come by every so often. The food is always good and the staff are lovely. They've got a good range of drinks and desserts as well, although for the most part we stick to the dinner menu. Highly Recommend”
“Enjoyed an absolutely delicious lunch with a glass of French Chardonnay at Tartines Cafe while visiting Eastbourne. It was a nice relaxed atmosphere seated in their covered courtyard on a beautiful sunny winters day. The staff were friendly and attentive. Tartines welcome dogs which was an added bonus as we had driven out to Eastbourne to take her for a walk. We also noticed they had a lovely selection of frozen takeaway meals so we popped back on our way home and bought a couple of delicious looking soups that are very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.”
“This is the best turkish shop i have been too in forever, it’s so good the service is good & the people here are so kind!”
“I've been to a lot of kebab places around Lower Hutt, and this place beats them all. Great price kebabs, generous portions, and they are juicy without getting soggy. The meat was grilled well, with good sized pieces and lots of crispy bits, and the kebab was wrapped so that you don't have to fight the tinfoil away before you can eat it. I also had the baklava, which at $8 is on the pricier side, but it was a good portion with plenty of syrup nuts and crunchy pastry. Today was my 3rd time here, and it will be my go-to kebab shop from now on.”
“I absolutely adore this place! Every time I come here, I’m greeted with warm service and a welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes me feel at home. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented—truly a treat for the senses. From the first bite to the last, every dish is full of love and care. Whether it’s a casual meal or a special night out, this place never disappoints. It always leaves my belly happy and a smile on my face. Highly recommend to anyone who loves amazing food and a cozy, friendly vibe!”
“This was my first time dining at Loretta and dining at a restetaunt in general, as I get incredibly nervous eating out due to my allergies, but it was a fantastic experience!!! The staff were so lovely and accommodating towards my allergies – Ruby and Anna were incredible – tripple checking everything to make sure it's safe. Overall, amazing service from the kitchen for accommodating my allergies amongst all the other tables. The food was also fabulous, would highly recommend! Thank you for such a lovely experience ”
“Absolutely flawless, perfect 5 stars! Despite arriving quite late, around 8 pm, I was greeted warmly by the staff, all with genuine smiles. The restaurant's atmosphere was cozy and spotlessly clean, with plenty of seating available. The menu was impressively extensive, and the staff graciously guided me through the options with clear explanations. Opting for (Hainanese) chicken rice, I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived promptly in just 5 minutes. The presentation was stunning, and the taste surpassed all expectations. The chicken was juicy and bursting with flavour, complemented perfectly by the fresh and crispy fried onions, freshest sliced cucumber and the subtly tangy soy-based sauce. The homemade chili sauce was also very authentic and a delightful touch. The accompanying chicken soup was also delicious and showcased the freshness and quality of the ingredients. At $22, the meal was not only delicious but also amazingly good value. Both the attentive waitstaff and the friendly chef made me feel incredibly welcome, leaving me eager to return. With so many enticing dishes left to try, I'm already looking forward to my next visit.”
“We had a lovely time, two mornings in a row. Great service, great food. Amazing coffee. Value for money and opens at 7AM!”
“Mediterranean Foods Wellington has the best pizza in Wellington, hands down. The linguine is absolutely to die for, and every visit has been matched with genuinely friendly, welcoming staff. The place has such a good vibe — warm, lively, and the kind of spot you can proudly bring friends or family who are visiting from out of town. A definite favourite and an easy 5 stars. Highly recommend!”

“Expertly cooked fish and chips. Huge range of options. Great service with lots of smiles. Very popular and busy place. Great range of Chinese takeaway dishes. The Wonton Soup is fantastic.”
“Fisherman’s Plate is the best pho you will find! The owners are lovely and make such delicious food. Always go in for a pho and a scoop of chips - such good value.”
“Wow...what an amazing taste! It’s been a long time since I’ve had food this good. We placed a large order of 50 chicken biryanis for a gathering, and every single one of my friends absolutely loved it. The flavors were rich, the chicken was tender, and the aroma was irresistible. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic, delicious biryani and great service! I’ll definitely be ordering again”
“Absolutely delicious food, really rich flavours, fast service, generous portions, lovely staff. Best Thai I’ve had in Wellington!”
“As the name says, it's truly an ltalian delicacy. We ordered Pollo chicken pizza , beef cutlet andTiramisu. Pizza's crust was soft and chicken was juicy. The flavour and herb combination was just awesome. Triamisu was really moist and the coffee liquor was so precise to the point which was prefect. Looking forward to order more....”
“Really great job. The food was lovely, I had the brioche bun chicken burger, it was delicious. Others were delighted with their salmon eggs Benedict on potato rosti. The coffee was very good, they took the time to make me a special Cortado (wish it was on the menu, hint hint). Lovely staff doing great.”
“Always works for me , budgeted seafood much better than many.”
“Definitely my fave place to go for Italian food! The perfect blend of flavours in the pizza that were not over powering but also not boring either. The food was very well prepared, served hot and service was exceptional. Pasta fabulous texture and taste. Calamari is a MUST! Deserts were wonderful too. Overall, loved the food and vibe here and would come back.”
“2 words....Crazy Good! Thanks to our host Anthony, The Chefs and crew for an outstanding Italian experience. Honestly the best Pasta I've tried. This restaurant is another great addition to the Petone food scene on Jackson. Unbelievable food, exceptional service and nice relaxed atmosphere. Thanks, we will be back for more!”
“Had such a great brunch here! The seafood chowder was beautifully creamy and packed with flavour, and the sourdough that came with it was perfect. All the drinks we tried (matcha, ube, and biscoff latte) were creative, fun, and absolutely delicious. My boyfriend had the chicken burger and wow it was so juicy and crispy, and the shoestring fries on the side were super tasty. Generous portions, really good value for money, and everything tasted amazing. Highly recommend!”
“Our local - consistently great Indian take away food. Run by a lovely family.”
“I’ve eaten a lot of fish and chips and Chineses food in my time, haven’t had anything better. Don’t let the modest area and surrounding commerces deflect you, these are great people, generous of spirit, conversation, and culinary awesomeness. We went 3 times in the one week we were here, twice for Chinese and once for fish and chips. Can’t wait to be back!”
“On my way back to Auckland and was at the Wellington airport. Felt like a burger so decided to have a burger. It was really nice, succulent chicken and crispy bacon. Good fries too.”
“Love the sweet and sour pork here - the picese are crispy while soaked in the glaze. Chips are just rightly crisp outside and soft inside. They know how to manage expectations and give wait times that vary with the waiting line (15 minutes for me vs 20 minutes for the customer 2 orders after)”
“Came here for dinner on Saturday and the food was delicious! We ordered pretty much the entire tapas menu and nothing was disappointing. The staff were also really friendly :) Great experience and will definitely be back.”
“The staff and chef were awesome. Lovely young team. Best dory and chips with delicious salad & vinaigrette. Simple food cooked perfectly. Price super reasonable. Thank you so much to the girl who served us (European accent) and the chef, who went out of his way.”
“A great restaurant serving delicious food located steps from the Ibis hotel where I was staying. The Mussels were some of the best and the lamb rump was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is very nice as it seems to be an old bank building. Prices were reasonable. It was however very noisy.”
“Perfection! Incredibly fresh ingredients executed to a high standard. We had the Bruschetta, Rucola salad, meatballs, arancini, calamari, pepperoni pizza, garlic bread. Highlights: Light, high quality pizza dough Fresh, fresh ingredients, high quality pepperoni and squid Best Arancini we have had, love the little chilli kick. Highly recommended for snack or full meal. Lovely to interact with the owner, and the staff were friendly and attentive. AAA+++ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
