    We get 4 dinner pack, the food was delicious!! Fresh fish, tasty salad, good price, no burned oil and the service was the best! Really nice people, we definitely coming back, this place will be our new to go fish and chip in the area.

    Spent nearly $55 and got 3 scoops of chips as part of the order and I have to say, seeing the cardboard tray bring less than 2 thirds full, I was flabbergasted! The size of the fish was hardly worth the effort. I doubt we will return if I am honest. Much better options within a few minutes drive too!

    This place has won lots of awards and I can see why. Consistently great fish and chips. Not too greasy, we’ll cooked. Really friendly staff. Surely this is the best fish and chip shop in the Hutt.

    Alllllrighty then thought would try So Fine Seafoods in Avalon, who hold a 4.4 Rating on Google. Meal: Fish & chips and a paua fritter. Total cost: $21.30 Fish tasted fine although a little on the soggy side not overly greasy. The batter levels were okay but didn’t have any crunch. Size was probably on the lower end of average. Crinkle cut chips were slightly below par. Which is disappointing as CC are my all time favourite. Paua fritter was packing but fell flat probably due to the soggy batter and the moisture retention. Had potential though. Overall I gotta say my experience was average, and the ROI was nonexistent on this visit

    Based on past reviews here I was expecting the Second Coming. The fish was small, but nice. The chips were the mass-produced frozen type, and the hot dog was very thin. Everything was cooked in a healthier, socially-acceptable, tree-hugging flavourless oil but unfortunately the meal wasn't anything special.

    Truly best fish and chips I've ever had. More than flavourful, I didn't feel a little ill the next day like other places, maybe it's the oil or batter but this is a must try.
