As a group of ten, we were warmly welcomed into the restaurant's cozy and inviting atmosphere. Culinary Highlights: Starters: The calamari was tender and flavorful, complemented perfectly by the crispy garlic bread. The chunky fries were a hit, offering a satisfying crunch with each bite. Main Courses: The penne chicken pasta stood out with its rich and creamy sauce, making it a favourite among our group. Some guests noted that their prosciutto wrapped chicken breast stuffed with spinach, and ricotta was slightly dry, but the overall flavors remained commendable. Service and Ambience: While the restaurant was bustling, the staff remained courteous and attentive. There was a noticeable wait between our starters and main courses, which led to some impatience among our party. This delay influenced our decision to skip dessert, though the menu offered tempting options that we hope to try on a future visit. Conclusion: Soprano Italian Caffe offers a genuine Italian dining experience with a menu that caters to diverse palates. Despite minor setbacks in service timing, the quality of the food and the warm ambience make it a restaurant worth revisiting. We look forward to returning, perhaps in a smaller group, to fully enjoy all that Soprano has to offer.

   Lovely Italian restaurant in Petone. The service is fantastic with the waiters very knowledgeable about food and wine pairings. Every single dish we ordered was delicious and tasted authentic. We’ve since been back another time and easily recommend this restaurant to friends. Really good entrees such as the calamari and the mains are not only delicious, but large portions. After all of this, despite the full stomach, you’ll want to get the tiramisu to finish things off. The first time we went, they also had this incredible cake (see photos) but it’s not on the menu. Hopefully they bring it back again!

   2 words....Crazy Good! Thanks to our host Anthony, The Chefs and crew for an outstanding Italian experience. Honestly the best Pasta I've tried. This restaurant is another great addition to the Petone food scene on Jackson. Unbelievable food, exceptional service and nice relaxed atmosphere. Thanks, we will be back for more!

   Beautiful food with very generous portions. The wine we had was also delightful. Only complaint was that it was overly warm, but better than being cold in the freezing weather! Leftovers for lunch the next day were just as delicious!

   The food and service in this place is great. The food is tasty, well presented and the prices are good. The mains are offered in two sizes and prices. The menu offers plenty of choices with lots of gluten free and vegetarian options. The staff and atmosphere make it a cosy, relaxing place to eat, with lots of small rooms converted to dining rooms. Will definitely go back and would recommend for a lovely night out as a date night or a group of friends.

   Cosy romantic back room table on a cold rainy night was the perfect set up for date night. The service was very prompt and food came soo very quickly . The calamari delicious and flavourful, we had the seafood pasta to follow which was OK not alot of seafood and the prawns were well over cooked and chewy we finished our meal with the flour less chocolate cake which was Devine and paired perfectly with the berry sorbet. Would go for a different main next time but the starter and dessert saved the meal.

   I went here for my friend's birthday dinner and it was such a great experience! The food was well presented, full of flavour and had a range of food for different dietary requirements such as gluten free, vegetarian and vegan. It was also nice and warm due to the heaters being on yet to an appropriate level. The staff were also attentive and made sure our meals were up to standard while they were also really busy with other bookings. I would definitely recommend.
