Update 12th May 2023 Earlier this year they redid the sorry looking garden by the side of the footpath with fresh bark chips and plants looks great and gave the entire area a big facelift. Its great to see the place coming back to life and alot more traffic, the strand was dieing for too long ever since United Video shutdown.”

“First time I have shopped at Placemakers and what a breath of fresh air compared to the utterly hopeless other large format building supply retailers in Porirua. The staff at Placemakers actually know what they are talking about, they are organized, helpful and offer customer service willingly - instead of trying to avoid customers which is what you get from staff at M10 and Bunnings. The drive through actually has room for vehicles - another improvement on the other two hopeless outfits. Placemakers is where I will be spending my DIY shopping in the future. Wish I had gone there years ago.”
