Good shop, easy parking, friendly staff. Lose a star as they seemed slightly disorganised. When we were picking up our order, they struggled to find it, then gave us only part of it saying the rest is coming, the 5 minutes later rang saying it was all there after all. Having said this, all done so friendly that it was easy to forgive

Fantastic clean and well organized store. Brought Manchester that was all on special yay!! A nice young man helped me with choosing the best material in sheets, and mattress protectors. Spent a good while in store looking at all their products and specials. Plenty of off street parking is a bonus. Cheers
Very helpful shop attendant in the vacuum section. They had short brown hair and retro-ish glasses. Great deal of the vacuum as well!
I’ve had consistently great experiences at Briscoes Taranaki. The cashiers and shop attendants are always friendly and helpful, even when I’ve had to ask for assistance multiple times. No eye-rolls, no attitude, just genuine service. One time, I accidentally left an item I purchased behind. I went back expecting the worst, but the staff checked the CCTV footage and returned the item to me without any hassle. That level of integrity and care is rare. Today, I needed an item that wasn’t available in-store. Instead of sending me away, they kindly offered to help me order it directly from their in-store PC, and even waived the delivery fee! That might not seem like a big deal, but with how the economy is right now, every dollar saved matters. If I’d ordered it myself online, I would’ve had to pay extra. So thank you, Briscoes Taranaki, for going the extra mile. You’ve definitely earned my loyalty!
Great range of products and very good sales at the moment. Sadly staff were not as friendly as expected by New Zealand standards. Good overall experience otherwise.

The biggest problem with Briscoes is A) the old hag they've got as their little mascot, who I can only assume is 1 of the owners as no one with sense would WANT her plastered all over their buildings. And B) they're a rip off. The reason they ALWAYS have "sales" is because they know they're a rip off and their "sales" are just to bring the prices back down out of the stratosphere back to their normal price. Briscoes wouldn't know a sale if it walked up to them with a shirt that said sale on it and slapped them over the head with sale fish.
Reasonable service and prices. Go during a large discount sale and you can get many things at half price. Large store for such a central location.
It is really a good place to find some reasonable price items.
