“Been going to them for a couple years now, to start with i will say the chips were a little overcooked 90% of the time but over this year they have been cooked perfectly (to me atleast). Its unfortunate that they had to up the price but its understandable considering this economy at the moment, still happily geting my food though dispite that. The people there iv found have been really nice aswell, ill usually go next door to pick up something to drink but usually after that it dosnt take that long for the food to be ready. Sometimes ill actually go once or twice a week since its a easy lunch or dinner option and is only just a 5 minute walk for me.”

No matter how many calls or emails to NZ post, I always got through to a different ‘operator’ making promise after promise, but no results. I decided to pop-in to the Grey Street branch in Tauranga where I explained my frustration to Sue (don't know her surname). Without any hesitation she jumped in to bat for me - Two days later she called to advise on the progress, and two days thereafter to let me know that the parcel had been delivered – what a star. Sue - even though you had nothing to do with this shipment (sent from Napier), you went out of your way to solve the problem for me, you are awesome! - and your company needs more staff like you. “Such a fabulous experience, every time. With helpful, knowledgable and friendly staff; it's very convenient to pop in and sort something. Fantastic customer service, you feel incredibly welcomed when you walk into this local business. The "New Management" have been in place for just over a year, and they have managed to restore Cherrywood Post Shop to its former glory. No easy task, after a rough few years under a particular (former) owner. (Read: Nothing short of a bloody miracle haha). The wider community of Otumoetai couldn't be more pleased with this change!
