“Very very great hospitality and service. The owners really do make you feel welcome, and they always took the extra step to make sure my family and I were sorted and comfortable. The neighbors were very quiet no loud noises in the night or anything. Awesome location close to every necessity. Great back outdoor section to walk around. And they even also have a pool and spa pool. 10/10 experience in all departments of our 1 week stay.”

“My wife had heard about this place through a patient of hers and had sent me the link as a place we must try. We finally got out there on lunchtime. My Coeliac wife was tempted by the Gluten Free sweet treats in the cabinet and I opted for a burger. We were initially confused as to who was staff in their plain clothes, and there seemed to be quite a few of them, but they were very friendly and polite. The food was exceptional. We really enjoyed the flavours in both the sweet and the burger, which were quite different to most places we visit. The coffee was also really good. We will gladly return to try other dishes on the menu.”

“Took a small party out for my wife's birthday. The food was great, and served quickly after ordering. I particularly liked the kumara fries! Was a great recommendation from the owner. Service was exceptional, you can tell when someone actually cares about their patrons. It showed in the number of people inside the business. It was a rainy Sunday evening and the resteraunt was at capacity! There was live music and good vibes in abundance. Despite being busy the proprietor checked on us multiple times, and once the live band had finished and a few people had left a table cleared inside which he offered to us for a more pleasant experience. Thank you for the hard work, we will be back!”

With 24 adults and 10 children under 12, they made sure everyone felt special and had a fantastic time. After exploring a few restaurants at the Mount, we chose Hide because of its perfect location, diverse menu, and accessibility for my wheelchair. Kamal was fantastic in our conversations leading up to the event; she was always professional and accommodating, and she answered all my questions with enthusiasm. On the night of the celebration, our maitre d’ was wonderful, keeping us updated on the bar tab and the delicious flow of food. Speaking of food, it was absolutely outstanding from the entrees to the main courses! Although we didn’t order dessert (thanks to the birthday cakes we brought), the staff kindly cut and served them for everyone. Plus, the child-friendly atmosphere was such a big bonus! “I stayed here for 1,5 month and it has been a great experience! Loved the mount, loved the staff, hostel was clean and well maintained. A little pricy but worth the cost. Close to the beach and not too far from the bars. I really enjoyed my stay here and it will always have a place in my heart! I had the halloumi vegetarian bowl (can’t remember the name of the dish) - it was delicious, with kale, beans, hummus, a fried egg with a gooey yolk. Coffee was strong and chocolatey, tasty. Nice place to set up and work, especially when the sun shines through the big windows. Also they do a special in the mornings - eggs on toast with free coffee”

“Honestly everything tasted great, however me and others were very surprised to see how small the bowl of chips and gravy were for $16. There were literally 20 chips in the bowl which is almost $1 per chip which i think is very unreasonable. Apart from that everything was 11 out of 10.”
