14Sep25 1851 I am one of apartments owners in The Beaumont. It is a beautifully located building only eleven minutes walk to the beach (port side) or the Mt Maunganui shops. And five minutes walk to the marvellous hot pools. Then there is Mt Maunganui to walk up .. five minutes away. Too much of a good thing !
Stayed in a 1bedroom apartment. Nice & clean. Comfortable bed. However.... They ask you to take out the rubbish & do the dishes before you leave. I do NOT agree with this at all. They should do it themselves. A guest pays to stay. If they want guests to clean, then they should be paying the guests. Otherwise they can do it themselves. They also dont allow you to have guests past 9pm. They should really switch internet providers. There is a wifi router right inside the closet and yet signal is weak. Keeps cutting out. I had to use my data instead. Was given two diffent keys. Not sure what the second key was for as i wasnt told. Tried it on every door and it did nothing. Wasnt sure how to open the outside door in pic number 3. Would have been helpful if i had a key for that. Close to Mount Mauao if you are into hiking. Close to good clothing stores, restaurants, dairys and the beach. Very good location.
Stayed in apartment 19 on the second floor. Apartment has been nicely refurbished and has air con, but the bed is appalling! I ended up sleeping on the couch the second night. The owner needs to upgrade this bed asap. It is very low to the ground ie not even above my knee height and was the size of a double. Terribly uncomfortable. These apartments can not be called luxury unless the furniture is upgraded.
It was a bit above my regular budge, but well paid for a nice, very clean and comfortable studio apartment. We had great view and all the conveniences we needed around us. I'll definitely consider to come back! Staff was very friendly too.
Called manager and agreed to give us the room on 5th floor, left a note (for 5th floor) when booking on their website but a 3rd floor was given when checked in, the so-called sea view is minimal. Moreover, unable to join the WiFi throughout our stay, talked to the manager at the time of check-out and I was extremely shocked by her response 'it was the network provider's problem and we cannot do anything about it' She felt so innocent LOL So be prepared to live in a room without WiFi
My partner and i stayed 2 nights. 1 on the 4th floor and 1 on the 7th. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Enjoyed both nights. Will love to go back sometime.
Little bit disappointed, stayed in room 22 level 3, there was no aircon even though advertised as every room has one, the view was scarce despite being advertised as sea views. Expected more than one small juice box sized uht milk that wouldnβt even fill a bowl of cereal. Location was great in terms of being close to everything, but hadnβt been cleaned properly though, found rubbish hidden in between couch cushions, definitely not what we expected at the price we payed.
Fantastic location, close to beach, hot pools shopping area. Had Room 28, great views very comfy main bed. Wifi did keep cutting out and the shower in the ensuite needs improvement. However, overall we had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely go back.
The lady on reception was lovely, but that's about where the positives ended. The room was definitely in need of an update. A lot of the furniture would have felt more comfortable in an Otago Uni flat. The 2 bedroom apartment had no heat pump, and the 2 heaters didn't really cut it. We were also only on the 3rd floor, so our expensive 180 degree view of the harbour and ocean was a bit of a dud, and definitely not like the pics on their website. Also for that money it would be nice if we were given more than 6 x 15ml containers of milk, some of which had passed their use by, and would also be nice if we didn't have to remove the rubbish from our rooms. A firmer, bigger bed would also not go amiss in the main bedroom. Would not stay again.
