We ate at Hide and Thirst today and ordered the "Just feed me" set menu. The meat was delicious and our waitress was lovely. However the service overall was disappointing. We waited at least 45 minutes between the first entree plates and the mains. In that time the waitress came over and took 3 rounds of drink orders. I feel like this was very cheeky tactics to drum up the overall total of our order. It wasnt until she came back a fourth time I stopped anyone ordering a drink and said when is the food coming you've been back here 3 times and we have had no food its been ages. The food then suddenly all came out all together and no more drinks were purchased. When we arrived at 1pm the venue was empty. 2 couples and a single arrived in the time we were there. So it was not busy. I noticed all this being the sober driver. While a friend was setting up their camera to get a photo of us a server was staring at us through the window for a few minutes. Made me feel quite uncomfortable. Sadly wont be back any time soon. Cob lettuce in the photo is $16 ea and corn is $16. Quite pricey for what it is.

We had a Christmas get together at Hide recently and had the bottomless brunch. We had to wait quite a bit for our food, and the drinks tasted watered down. Especially the aperol spritzers. They tasted like there was zero alcohol in them. Our server was lovely, but we had to keep asking for the drinks and when the food would be coming. It was only some flat breads for starters and mains were a dry chicken with lots of bones, half a lettuce and some roast potatoes. That was it. Not worth $79 at all. After our time was up we went and ate elsewhere as we were still hungry. Would work out better to order your own meal and get decent drinks with it.

I want to extend a HUGE thank you to Kamal and her incredible team for making my 60th birthday celebration truly unforgettable! With 24 adults and 10 children under 12, they made sure everyone felt special and had a fantastic time. After exploring a few restaurants at the Mount, we chose Hide because of its perfect location, diverse menu, and accessibility for my wheelchair. Kamal was fantastic in our conversations leading up to the event; she was always professional and accommodating, and she answered all my questions with enthusiasm. On the night of the celebration, our maitre dβ was wonderful, keeping us updated on the bar tab and the delicious flow of food. Speaking of food, it was absolutely outstanding from the entrees to the main courses! Although we didnβt order dessert (thanks to the birthday cakes we brought), the staff kindly cut and served them for everyone. Plus, the child-friendly atmosphere was such a big bonus! My family and guests had a fabulous evening, and I wholeheartedly recommend Hide, Kamal, and her fantastic team for your next celebration! You wonβt be disappointed!

Menu was all sharing plates. However the portion sizes were extremely small for the price. Have had many other meals that were exceptional for the same price and not felt hungry afterwards. However here we left hungry. Only 2 slices of bread with roasted bree for $27! Many of the dishes also have the same sauce and garnish so there is little variety when you order a few sharing plates. No salads are included and sides are all extra. Personally wouldnβt recommend. Used to be good a year or two ago. Service and was good. Staff were friendly.

I went to The Hide with my girlfriends last night and ordered the fish tacos, salt and pepper squid, and two glasses of wineβmy total came to $78. The atmosphere was lovely and welcoming, and the staff were genuinely friendly, attentive, and easy to chat with. While there's nothing particularly wrong with the experience, I did feel the food was overpriced for what it was. Nothing on the menu really stood out or felt unique, and the dishes we tried were just... nice. Not bad by any means, but not especially memorable or mouth-watering either. For the same price, Iβve had meals at other restaurants that were truly exceptional. So, while itβs a pleasant place to dine, Iβm not sure the value quite matches the cost.

We thought it was a lovely atmosphere, we enjoyed sitting outside under the heaters. Our waitress was very friendly and was happy to help when we had questions. We ordered the chef's selection which was $75. There was a great range of dishes to try with this option. Some of the portions were a bit awkward to share between 4 of us e.g. 7 pieces of tuna for 8 of us and a small apple crumble and pavlova to share between 4 of us. Overall a lovely experience.

We really loved the atmosphere here. Overall we really enjoyed our meal and cocktails, there were a couple of the items we purchased that could be improved on. The main thing that we struggled to eat was the Cookie in The Campfire dessert, it was yum but it was really hard and wasn't able to be easily eaten with spoon or even cut with a knife. Would recommend this cookie being a bit more on the softer side so that patrons don't live in fear of it flying off the table like we did haha. The Kingfisher Ceviche and Sour plum cocktail didn't quite live up to our expectations but was still eatable. Prices for the meal and drinks are on the high side, so choose wisely. It would be really awesome if the "Chef Selection menu" could have the minimum lowered to two people rather than 4

Found the new menu very pricey and prohibitive to be a regular haunt - which is a real shame, as Hide used to be a real fave. We ordered the short rib and accompanying sides - the short rib @ $48 was so over cooked and dry it was inedible. To their credit, upon pointing this out we were presented with a new order - the difference was incredible! We have no idea how the first serving was even allowed to leave the pass!!! On a good note - our waiter was 10/10

Absolutely I would come back this place. Lovely gas fires around, warm and nice atmosphere, yummy food. The staffs are amazingly kind and helpful, and especially a girl has an amazing customer service skill. I can not be more satisfied. At first I thought, it is a bit pricey bit worth to try with nice people.
