“First time I have shopped at Placemakers and what a breath of fresh air compared to the utterly hopeless other large format building supply retailers in Porirua. The staff at Placemakers actually know what they are talking about, they are organized, helpful and offer customer service willingly - instead of trying to avoid customers which is what you get from staff at M10 and Bunnings. The drive through actually has room for vehicles - another improvement on the other two hopeless outfits. Placemakers is where I will be spending my DIY shopping in the future. Wish I had gone there years ago.”

They've held up great through a year of rough use walking on pavement and cycling around. These weren't waterproof, but a bit of wax on the stitching has given them water resistance. 5 stars.”

“5 Stars for Mark and his wonderful Team at Bates Joinery. We had extensive wooden joinery made for our house renovation back in early 2000's. Over the years the Cedar French doors through the house were badly scratched by our big dogs. Bates took them away a few weeks ago and returned them in brand new condition after careful machine sanding ( solid wooden doors are the best.) Now rehung by Bates and looking fabulous. I am thrilled with this "after sales " service 2 decades on !! Thanks very much. Rose Roberts”

“Excellent service from Bridie today. She helped me secure shoes I wanted that weren't in stock in Christchurch from another store in the last 30 mins before closing. She let me try on the same shoes in a different colour to ensure I had the right fit. I also had great service from another young lady last week. There was an issue with the email address on my loyalty account and she took the time to fix it and sort out my loyalty points - it was no problem.”

“I came here for a pregnancy massage last week and I cannot recommend more highly! The room was set out perfectly to ensure my comfort being pregnant and Maree made sure I was okay the whole time. The massage and facial was delightful! Afterword I had a lovely drink and sweet treat and they gave a wee gift! Not once did i feel rushed, in fact was encouraged to continue relaxing for as long as I wanted. If you are looking for your new go to place, this is it! Maree was absolutely incredible and so welcoming. I will be back”

Even though parking is a bit annoying the products Ilam Kosco offers are very worth it in the end. Everyone should come and experience Ilam Kosco :).”

“I have shopped and resold through this store for a number of years. The process for selling is really easy to navigate both online and in person. The shopping is always great and I've found some amazing treasures here. The highlight has to be the customer service though. All the Staff are just gorgeous humans- friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. In times when great customer service is hard to come by, these guys really stand out with impeccable warmth, and professionalism, happily going the extra mile even when they are busy. “I had exceptional service today. I was asked if help was needed and then left to shop for what I wanted as i indicated. When I needed help, it was most definitely helpful and informative, the staff member looked up stock around NZ and eventually we narrowed my search to a boot in store closing the sale with my cool new boots. I'd looked at shop reviews prior and now wonder if "negative experiences" are mostly caused by the customers attitude or communication problems. My experience was awesome.”
