“The cleanliness of the rooms could definitely be improved, but this place is overall insane value. The bed was comfortable and warm, the private bathroom was everything you need, and while the tv was pretty old it has sky sport and sky movies and everything. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the free breakfast was very good. Some people seem to be complaining about cleanliness or dated rooms but for the insanely low price it just doesn't make sense to hold it against them.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. My room was nice and tidy, well maintained, comfortable bed, easy access to the motel and lots of parking spaces. The Managers and Staff are also very polite, friendly, approachable and helpful. The best thing about my room was the big spa bath, it was so relaxing and with the jets going made it that much better, I'm about 6'2 and could comfortably lay in there. I will definitely be staying here again as I travel to Hamilton roughly every 12 days to see my two young daughters who also loved the place. If you're looking for an affordable place, tidy facilities, easy parking, comfortable rooms and friendly approachable staff then I'd highly recommend The Alcamo. “Highly recommend this property. We were a family of 4 (2 adults 2 kids) + 2 Grandparents. We found the communication and response to be excellent. Walked into a clean, comfortable and modern accomodation which had a fully equipped kitchen, downstairs for our family and upstairs for the grandparents. Practical to have a washing machine and dryer to keep up with busy children but the heated rooftop pool was the best, we all enjoyed the views of the ocean and Mt Maunganui-handy to shops, dairy, beach and eateries. We most certainly will be booking this little treasure again! Thank you Helen and Shelley for being responsive with our booking and helpful during our stay, we really appreciate it.”
