“By far the best Veterinary Hospital I've ever had. The staff are amazing, they are friendly, knowledgeable, even the student that was there at the time with the vet was incredible and so helpful. They were keen to help our dog, to take care of her while she was there and to go above and beyond to make sure she was okay. Our Samoyed loves them and I am so happy to have found this place, they couldn't have chosen better people to be there. I would recommend everyday of the week!”

“I have been with the vet service for years. Doctors are very responsible and detailed oriented. Trish checked my ragdoll for annual vaccinations with patience. She also gave practical advice on how to solve new adopted kittens getting along with the resident cat. Very informative and helpful. “We had the sad and hard decision to put our dog to sleep. Mobile vets were so kind and understanding from start to finish. They arrived and had a nice genuine chat asking how we had come to the decision and confirmed this was the kindest option for Max in his old age. Vet and vet nurse talked us through what would happen. They were so patient and we never felt rushed. They gave us time with Max after and could tell they genuinely cared. Highly recommend as Max was relaxed and in his home when he went.”

“Baxter our Golden retriever has been going to Dog Den for most of his life. He’s now a senior dog and still LOVES going to daycare. The staff are so loving and friendly to him and we know he is safe and well cared for. They will always let us know how he’s been and if he has been a bit off. They are flexible and understanding if we need to make changes to days he attends. They feel like part of our family and we’re grateful for the care they show our furbaby ❤️”

“I can’t recommend Doctor Dr enough! The after-care service is incredible – Paul genuinely goes above and beyond. When I reached out about an issue with my dog, he told me if things didn’t improve over the weekend, he would personally come to my house to check on my dog. I also texted him about plaque concerns on my dog’s teeth and he called me straight away with helpful advice. On top of the amazing service, the food itself is excellent quality and actually more affordable than the big brands – plus it feels great to be supporting a local NZ business. Truly outstanding service and product!”

“So nice to meet Hayley today when I took Earl to her for his first visit to The Gentle Groomer. The emphasis here has to be on the word gentle.Warm, caring and welcoming would be a few other words I would use when talking about Hayley. Earl has not had the best of experiences with groomers previously and being an anxious little one I was hoping to find somewhere and someone that could make his haircut day more enjoyable and less stressful for him. We hit that jackpot today. He looked wonderful when I collected him, loved the shaping around his face, eyes, and mouth particularly. Hayley’s policy of only ever one dog at a time also added to the calming experience that Earl had today. Thank you so much Hayley and Earl looks forward to seeing you again in December.”

“Yesterday we took our 5 month old miniature schnauzer pup to Craig for his first groom. Craig was so gentle with him and he did an amazing job! “On Monday 22 September 2025, the team at the Animal Medical Centre worked for over 3 hours to remove LFC - liquid filling concrete - from the paws and other places of my cat Morgan La Fay. When Morgan got home and had recovered from sedation, she was completely back to normal. How Morgan came to walk through LFC is a long story which I will not recount. I do need to say 2 things, though, to make clear what a miracle the team achieved. The first is that, by the time I got her to the vet on Monday afternoon, the LFC had been on her paws and other places for 24 hours. She sounded like a ballet dancer en pointe when she walked around and kept hitting her ear with her back paw when trying to scratch it. The second is that Morgan is a cat with a very definite list of "nots" - do not walk towards me, do not pick me up, do not put me in a cage, do not leave me with strangers, do not touch my paws ... and on it goes. I knew she would have to be in a crush cage and I knew that even crush cages have their limits. The AMC team got all the hard-baked concrete off Morgan and left her with no ill-effects. That truly was a magnificent piece of work. I cannot speak highly enough of their ingenuity, patience, dedication, and veterinary knowledge and I am deeply grateful to them all. Thank you again to everyone who helped.”
