“5/5 chill, clean, relaxed service, they were quick to serve and give what we needed. Could see them observing. My daughter dropped tomato sauce on the table they were quick to help. Great food, service. Clean 5/5 I'm a sucka for hygiene. 2nd time I've eaten here with people. Will be back.”
“Cafe Tran has a good selection of dishes on offer and at very reasonable prices. Ordered a Steak Burger and Chips ($21.90), which was prepared to perfection. Nothing was oily or overpowering, but just right flavours to compliment the dish. My better half ordered an Eggs Benedict ($19.90) which had very nice flavour and not too small in size.”
“Lovely place we never been to before. I have to say we left quite impressed, bellies very full and satisfied. Very interesting twist to the standard beef burger, the bulgogi patty gave it a sweeter taste. Missus had the Creamy Mushroom, and says its good. When she says anything is good... Its usually a 5 star for anyone else :) Will definitely return”
“Craved a big breakfast (no egg) and was not disappointed! I am yet to try the lunch options but they looked incredible. Large range of options for lunch and brunch. I will be back to explore more. Great place for a work lunch or a treat for yourself during a hard weeks work.”
“My first time and everything was amazing. Friendly staff, and delicious food. The egg bene with salmon on hash cakes was good. Great coffee too.”
“We had brunch on Waitangi Day (Thursday) and absolutely loved it. For the first time, I had a smoothie that was actually better than the ones I make at home—so thank you for that! We went back on Saturday, but this time, the smoothie had noticeably more spinach, which caused it to oxidize quicker. I don’t have a picture, so you’ll have to take my word for it—it was much darker in color and less sweet. That said, the breakfast quality was just as great as the first time.”
“The Collins is a local fave on the Shore!! Their food is always delicious, coffee is brewed to perfection, and the customer service is always friendly and fast. I definitely recommend coming here for coffee and/or brunch, plenty of seating options both indoor and outdoor too.”
“I recently visited this cozy café and tried their "Salmon Benny" it was an absolute delight! The dish was beautifully presented, with perfectly poached eggs nestled on a crispy, flavorful base, topped with creamy hollandaise sauce and fresh greens. The smoked salmon on the side added a rich, savory touch that paired wonderfully with the rest of the dish. The portion size was just right, and every bite was bursting with flavor. The attention to detail in both the presentation and taste truly stood out. The café itself had a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. If you're a fan of eggs Benedict or just looking for a delicious brunch spot, I highly recommend giving this place a try! I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu.”
“Lovely ladies, very cheerful and smiley. Great customer service and had the tea that I was looking for. As well as variety of milk, if you seek lactose free.”
“Good place for family hanging out! We love the atmosphere and especially food. Some of the nicest tasting food I've had for a while. Recommend - egg Benedict, pasta, coffee.”
“Awesome food and coffee.. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Titirangi!”
“A lovely little eatery. Really friendly and professional staff, delightful ambience. Food was incredible, highly recommend the spicy mushrooms!”
“Love the spot. Not the first and certainly not the last time we came in for a brunch with friends to enjoy the delicious food and atmosphere, personally love the outdoor area, however, the place has ample of space for any taste and preferences.”
“Had the best creamy mushrooms I have ever had! Food was so delicious, my partner had the eggs Benedict and said it was so yummy. Staff are really friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back!!”
“Lovely atmosphere and staff. We went here for lunch and got two eggs benedicts, hot chocolate and a smoothie. The hollandaise sauce tastes amazing and I was very impressed with the hash brown - the eggs and bacon were also done to perfection. And the presentation was very pretty. Nice place for a lunch date!”
“This cafe was recommended to us by a family member for superb salmon bagels. Boy were we not disappointed. I prefer cooked salmon and nothing was too much bother to lightly grill the smoked salmon. It was amazing and very generous. All our table loved everything they had, fettuccine, blat, gf french toast and two salmon bagels. We loved to cafe, friendly, wonderful ambience. Would definitely recommend and return. Thank you. Absolutely loved it.”
“Just had dinner here and it was an amazing experience! The blonde hostess/waitress that served me was very bubbly friendly and patient!! The food was also brilliant, plated beautifully and came out quickly, I'll definitely be coming back here soon as it was one of the best eating experiences I've had!”
“The only place I know that makes Kedgeree, a lovely moist rice dish with smoked fish - it is superb, definitely 5 stars. The photo doesn’t really do it justice. If I lived in Wellington I’d come here all the time. Great coffee too.”
“A wonderful birthday lunch at Picnic! I cannot thank Picnic Cafe enough for an absolutely fabulous 70th birthday lunch! It was Wellington on a good day and the roses were in full bloom. This is such a fantastic venue for Welly locals and especially for visitors. The service was outstanding with the manager and his staff graciously, attentively and very efficiently accommodating 26 exuberant family and friends. It worked beautifully for the group that each could select what they wanted for lunch and the atmosphere was relaxed and, well, picnic-y. It couldn't have been better! Highly recommended. Thank you to Paul Lester and J Paul and Picnic! Mary Dec 2025”

“Super friendly staff, very warm and welcoming and the pies were absolutely delicious. Beautiful pastry and the perfect amount of cheese in the steak and cheese pie.”
“Have visited this café many times in the past and it's always been good. Their drinks are nice and hot and the cabinet and cooked food is great. I think the scones are especially nice here. I have never had an issue finding a table but it does get popular for business meetings, so if you go around lunch time it may be busy”
“Our favourite spot as a young family of six! Even better that we can bring our beloved pooch. The food is delicious, the outdoor area is perfect, and with four boys we always appreciate being able to sit outside. Great staff and a lovely, generous owner. We’ll definitely be back for many more visits!”

“Aladdin's vegetarian kebabs are the only takeaway "treat" I indulge myself in regularly. (I even have a rewards card and I rarely bother with those). I say treat because this is such healthy food! The team at Aladdin's are always welcoming, they remember and clearly value their regular customers, and they offer consistently good service and food. My husband has now converted to the vegetarian kebab, they are that tasty! I highly recommend them.”
