“This is a great place to stay in Devonport. The proprietors seem to have thought of everything to make for a pleasant stay. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was great. Lovely fluffy towels. Nice little treats left by the bedside. I can't imagine what could have made it better. Also, it's within easy walking distance of a multitude of cafes, restaurants and other shopping.”

“We loved spending 4 nights at Wild Thyme! Our hosts were gracious and helpful, with Bruce picking us up at the ferry and delivering us back to the ferry at the end of our stay. We recommend spending a day touring wineries with Jules. It was also easy to walk into town from Wild Thyme, or catch at bus at the bottom of the hill. The bus took us to additional wineries!”

“It is the little things....what a gorgeous place to stay. Tracy was super friendly and so accommodating. We mixed up our times and she was happy to help. The room was very comfortable and morning tea and coffee just outside our room was perfect. Breakfast downstairs with a beautiful view. We could not have asked for more. “Purrfurred Cattery is second to none! Sally and the team do an excellent job of making fur babies feel happy, loved and cared for away from home. We have two adventurous and rather large and demanding Siamese boys. They are always cared for and accommodated in a way that works for them. Thank you so much for the level of kindness, patience and care offered. We appreciate all the Purrfurred team do! Facilities are large, varied and clean. The cat minders are conscientious and considerate of each cat’s needs. Our boys return home settled and happy. A very special place that we are thankful to have established a relationship with.”

She did not miss a single step and we have been blown away at her enthusiasm and dedication to getting our house sold, she is definitely worth her weight in gold. “We are so glad we’ve found Eyrewell Kennels! It was the first time we’ve had our 6 month old puppy Taika stay in a kennel. From the moment of initial contact they put our mind at ease with what to expect and once arriving you could see immediately what a great facility it is. Huge outdoor grass areas with separate section’s for different dogs and very clean indoor kennels with air conditioning. Taika loved his stay and will happily be booking future use at Eyrewell. “First time using shadow estate and it had come personally recommended to us. After doing our due diligence and reading the reviews we went ahead. Our girls can be a bit anxious and nervous with new people and places. That wasn’t problem here. Karly clearly understands dogs so well and is lovely to talk too. Upon collecting our girls it was like they hadn’t even stayed away, there dementia was calm and relaxed. Thanks again and we will be back. Highly recommend.”

“I drive my cats out here from North New Brighton because the gardens & landscaping they have built around the cattery is beautiful, and it makes me feel good because it's like a little cat resort. Their comms are great, friendly people, and the hygiene standard is top-notch, as is their professionalism. Highly recommend.”

“I can not recommend Cheryl high enough, we had our 3 babies with her over Christmas just been (2023) for a week. Due to no fault of her own (our vet being lazy) our 11 month old kitten fell very ill, Cheryl went above and beyond and did everything she could for our precious peach. If you want to take your cats to someone who cares, you can’t get any better than Cheryl at 4 paws”

“Travelled in end Sept / early Oct 2018 in their 4 berth campers and it ran like a dream. We rented the 2 berth from Affordable for the first time in 2016 and decided to upgrade this time round. Absolutely no regrets on that decision - the 4 berth camper had no issues at all and ran better than the camper booked (from one of the big name brands eg britz mighty etc) by our relatives we were traveling with. Lynda and the team were such friendly and welcoming people. Easy to get on with and very helpful in answering all our questions. Really glad we went with Affordable Motor Homes once again and we will continue to do so every time we travel to NZ. - Jude & Robert”

“This place was more than a home away from home. A pool spa Bbq.. Owners were amazing. Breakfast included 4 different cereals fruit. Different food items in room. It was amazing beds were really comfortable. The room bathroom was so clean. I think this would have to be one of the cleanest places I have stayed at. Something for everyone. Playground out the back AAA+ best to just ring for bookings.”
