    ★★★★☆ 4.3 (409 Reviews) Well rated Closed

“Jugnus’s Little India offers an authentic taste of India right on our doorstep. Their butter chicken is a sublime journey of flavors, and the street food options transport you straight to the bustling lanes of Delhi. For genuine Indian cuisine that tickles the taste buds, this is the place to be! Parking is easy to find and pay attention on the location, it is at the end of the motel’s driveway. Then the great smell will lead you to their door.”

We ordered the full vege grill (don’t mind all that pepper in the photo I did that lol) and the house hash with salmon. I would definitely come back here.”

    Sierra Cafe

    ★★★★☆ 4.3 (397 Reviews) Well rated Closed

“Sierra Café on Lambton Quay is a handy little spot tucked away upstairs from the main street, which makes it feel a bit calmer than some of the busier Wellington cafés. The coffee here is solid — my flat white was smooth and strong enough to start the day. I ordered a vegan sandwich, which was creamy and tasty. The cabinet food looked fresh, with muffins, scones, and frittatas that seemed popular with other customers. Service was quick and friendly; even when the café started filling up around lunchtime, my order came out fast. The space has a relaxed, casual vibe and works well for either a quick stop or a longer sit-down. Prices are pocket-friendly. I liked that they cater to different diets with vegetarian and gluten-free options. It’s not the flashiest café in Wellington, but it’s dependable and comfortable. I’d happily come back, especially for breakfast or a mid-morning coffee.”

Parking is fine & has direct access to carts & trolleys before & after entry. The service was warm, polite & hospitable. A huge selection of goods at various prices made it fun to shop & ease of choice. I recommend a visit, if just to sample some of their amazing selections of coffee, cheeses, biscuits & a lot more. The location couldn’t be better — just across from Te Papa museum and right in the heart of Wellington’s vibrant waterfront. “Went here for the first time to see Wake Up Dead Man and it was a very nice experience. Although the layout made it feel a bit like a bingo parlour upon first entry, the amount of people gathered here gave the venue a much livelier feel than other local theatres, and the screens and audio quality were top notch. It had more of a community vibe than I was expecting and I think we’ll frequent this cinema more often than not in the future.”

“We stumbled upon a cool little bar slightly off Courtenay Place in Wellington and ended up having such a fun night. We were drawn in because we heard some really good filler songs playing—these were the tracks they had on between the karaoke performances. We went in around 9 o’clock when karaoke was already going, and within an hour or two the place really came to life. It was such an amazing vibe with great music, a fun crowd, and plenty of energy. Definitely a memorable night out that happened by chance and turned into something awesome.”

“Lanes was a great spot for a quick bowling session and some drinks! We had some free time before heading to the airport, so we stopped by for a game of bowling—some of us grabbed drinks too. It was a great time! The place has a cool vibe, with retro games adding to the fun. The bowling lanes also have a unique touch with blue lighting, which gives it a different feel compared to most bowling alleys. The staff were awesome as well. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you have some time to kill and enjoy some retro games!”
