“Jugnus’s Little India offers an authentic taste of India right on our doorstep. Their butter chicken is a sublime journey of flavors, and the street food options transport you straight to the bustling lanes of Delhi. For genuine Indian cuisine that tickles the taste buds, this is the place to be! Parking is easy to find and pay attention on the location, it is at the end of the motel’s driveway. Then the great smell will lead you to their door.”
“The staff here were very friendly and accommodating for my friend and I with our babies and they brought over a high chair for us. The coffee & food was awesome and came out so fast. We ordered the full vege grill (don’t mind all that pepper in the photo I did that lol) and the house hash with salmon. I would definitely come back here.”
“Great shop and service! My favourite local store!”
“Wonderful new owners here have refreshed this favourite local cafe. Consistently great food and outstanding friendly service”
“The food here is delicious and reasonable price. Wide open spaces and kid friendly environment.”
“This cafe is by the pool and is really lovely. The food is all delicious, and the staff are friendly. Surrounded by bushes, it has a really pleasant atmosphere. We'll definitely be back again!”
“Yummiest “hot” Leek & Potato soup with lovely crispy fresh grainy toast on a cold Welly day. Their cabinet food looks great too. Nice spacious cafe at the top of Early Settlers. Recommmend!”
“Great coffee and a pleasant space showcasing the charm of the old bank.”
“Great café! Friendly staff, delicious food and drinks, great relaxing vibe. Cafe Mamba is definitely one of my go-to spots.”
“Sierra Café on Lambton Quay is a handy little spot tucked away upstairs from the main street, which makes it feel a bit calmer than some of the busier Wellington cafés. The coffee here is solid — my flat white was smooth and strong enough to start the day. I ordered a vegan sandwich, which was creamy and tasty. The cabinet food looked fresh, with muffins, scones, and frittatas that seemed popular with other customers. Service was quick and friendly; even when the café started filling up around lunchtime, my order came out fast. The space has a relaxed, casual vibe and works well for either a quick stop or a longer sit-down. Prices are pocket-friendly. I liked that they cater to different diets with vegetarian and gluten-free options. It’s not the flashiest café in Wellington, but it’s dependable and comfortable. I’d happily come back, especially for breakfast or a mid-morning coffee.”
“Five stars for value - where else can you get a filling sit-down lunch meal including a salad for less than $10? Today i had a delicious spinach, mushroom and feta pastie with salad - more than enough for lunch. Staff are always friendly and there is a great range of cabinet food too.”
“First class all the way. The two young guys running the place are fantastic. The food is seriously good and it's popular for good reason. We'll be back when next in Wellington.”
“We had breakfast for four of us on Sunday morning, service was friendly and efficient. Meals were delicious and coffee was fantastic. A cool setting and displays were very funky. Will be back next time we visit Wellington.”
“I’m sorry but how have I never been here before in my 14 years living in Wellington. Such a cosy nook, blink and you’ll miss it. the last Bastian of a cheap eggs on toast in Wellington if you will. AND mayoral candidate Rob Gouldon was seated there wearing a massive ribbon like a prize- what a treat. I’ll be back a million times over”
“My favourite coffee shop when I come to Wellington. The service is always great and their coffee is excellent. Look for their other location near The Reserve Bank of NZ of the Terrace. You can also buy their roasted coffee.”
“Tried the Apple aloe flavour with pearls & aloe jelly…super tasty, refreshing & had the perfect sweetness & ice levels - would definitely recommend!”
“Another great store. I was very surprised to see such a huge array of different coffee brands. From Italian to Belgium. Parking is fine & has direct access to carts & trolleys before & after entry. The service was warm, polite & hospitable. A huge selection of goods at various prices made it fun to shop & ease of choice. I recommend a visit, if just to sample some of their amazing selections of coffee, cheeses, biscuits & a lot more. You will not be disappointed. Don't forget your coupon book, every little saving goes along way.”
“Clean, enough parking, just around the corner and it has never been too busy!”

“Always go here its a great wee shop.”
“Pak n Save is handy for a quick shop and I have never found it to be super busy even at the weekend. The produce is good and I like the size selection in the bakery section. It's got a cover over the car park so Great for not getting wet when packing”
“Always go here its a great wee shop.”
“The staff here are so friendly and helpful. I love them. And it's hard to beat the prices though you sometimes can.”
“This shop is amazing, great layout and the bakery foods are so beautifully done. Staff interactions were all pleasant”
“Super clean and well organised with a really impressive play area. The entrance fee is expensive but worth it in my opinion. There are even healthy menu items at the canteen, which is unusual at other indoor play areas. A great rainy day trip!”
“QT Wellington is a fantastic stay. The service is warm and genuinely friendly, especially the team at the restaurant, which makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The location couldn’t be better — just across from Te Papa museum and right in the heart of Wellington’s vibrant waterfront. I also loved the artsy atmosphere throughout the hotel, from the lobby, the bar to the rooms, which gives the place so much character. A great choice if you want both comfort and a creative vibe.”
“Went here for the first time to see Wake Up Dead Man and it was a very nice experience. Although the layout made it feel a bit like a bingo parlour upon first entry, the amount of people gathered here gave the venue a much livelier feel than other local theatres, and the screens and audio quality were top notch. It had more of a community vibe than I was expecting and I think we’ll frequent this cinema more often than not in the future.”
“We stumbled upon a cool little bar slightly off Courtenay Place in Wellington and ended up having such a fun night. We were drawn in because we heard some really good filler songs playing—these were the tracks they had on between the karaoke performances. We went in around 9 o’clock when karaoke was already going, and within an hour or two the place really came to life. It was such an amazing vibe with great music, a fun crowd, and plenty of energy. Definitely a memorable night out that happened by chance and turned into something awesome.”
“Lanes was a great spot for a quick bowling session and some drinks! We had some free time before heading to the airport, so we stopped by for a game of bowling—some of us grabbed drinks too. It was a great time! The place has a cool vibe, with retro games adding to the fun. The bowling lanes also have a unique touch with blue lighting, which gives it a different feel compared to most bowling alleys. The staff were awesome as well. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you have some time to kill and enjoy some retro games!”
