I'm not one to review supermarkets but man, this place was nuts. Aisle after aisle was absolutely immaculate and we had our bags packed for us too. Crazy stuff
I usually go to Tawa New world, Whitby, Porirua and Mana New worlds but travelled to the city as it was the only New World selling decent size hams in the brand I wanted and it was the biggest and by far better New world I've seen, a huge TV on the wall playing nice video music, with more variety of groceries, hot food and a bigger bakery with high class patisserie desserts. The service behind the deli and bakery were exceptional, there were at least 4 staff ready to serve with great customer service and very efficient, at other New worlds there's either no one there to serve unless you wave out or ring a bell and then the service is slow, so was a great surprise and as soon as I checked out, my basket was taken for me, nice to see a cafe on the way out too.
New World city was recommended to me by a friend,. the cakes and platters arrived on time and were beautifully presented no waste here. The 80th birthday cake was amazing and tasted delicious, well done to the deli and bakery for doing a wonderful job and having pride in your work. thank you to everyone involved 5 stars

Wow!! Iβm sorry but this is the best presented supermarket I have ever been in my life! This store takes a lot of pride in their presentation with their perfectly stacked shelves, fantastic selection of produce and ready to eat meals with an abundance of stock. Really well spaced out also, with wide aisles, doesnβt feel crammed. They have everything you never thought of. Well done!!
What a fun New World! They played Celine Dion music videos on the screen while an ad for cheap sirloin steak popped up on the screen! Or how about Rod Stewart advertising a leek? Incredible! Man I love this place
Well stocked urban supermarket on the fringe of Wellington's entertainment district. Ample free parking. Light, bright and modern.

Very bright and airy, feels new and fresh. Has a varied selection of items which are not available at my usual New World (Thorndon) which was quite a treat to discover. Busy supermarket but most people are purchasing smaller quantities, so the checkout wait times are not too bad at all.
Some items were cheapest than in Asian Supermarket, and some were more expensive! Overall, good selection of food.
