   I am truly grateful to all the wonderful staff I encounter every Sunday or Monday at P&S Kilbirnie. I am writing here about the spirit of the staff working there. From the really cheerful, focussed and helpful guys and gals in fruit & veg, to dairy to fresh fish and on to the deli with the lovely staff there... sometimes I see the bakers flat tat making their bakes - esp the amazing pies... And next I move around to the herbs & spices / condiments and encounter a delightful woman normally up a ladder! Then I trot over to the guys in the tea, coffee, pasta and kitchen products section. Always busy but helpful. Let’s not forget all the kids in the basement on trolley-patrol so that we don’t have our cars scratched. Finally I move on to any one of the amazing check-out tellers, whose cheerfulness and decency to help where they can nearly defies gravity! Without them we wld all be stuck inside P&S - they hold the keys to let us leave! I don’t know how they do it. 5 mins of me packing my own groc. is enough for me. Every week we each have a brief cheerful POSITIVE chat and move on with our own wee worlds - til next week. It makes me smile... I am reminded how many different lives and diverse cultures I am privileged to be amongst when there. So thank you to all the staff at P&S KILBIRNIE. Why did I make an effort to post this? Gratitude is wonderful but nothing beats "gratitude in action".... (or in a post!) Kia kaha

   Really disappointed bought a 1 kilo roast beef - hidden underneath was a thick piece of gristle probably 20% of the overall weight was inedible rubbish. It appeared to be deliberately hidden. You charge that much at least be honest in the product you provide.

On 04 October 2025 afternoon, I was really in need of a frozen product and he was busy restocking, but as soon as I asked for help, he left his work and came straight over to assist me. He restocked it right away with a smile and made sure I got what I needed. Fast, effective and super helpful service. Cheers!

   I paid good money for "naval" oranges only to get home and find very sour oranges full of pips that were barely edible. Naval oranges are supposed to be seedless and sweet, hence the higher price. Con artists. Misleading people with misrepresented fresh produce.

   Absolutely amazing service. I damaged a receipt I needed for work. I thought I would try to email the store to see if I could access a copy. The amazing Tracey had it all sorted and a copy of the receipt emailed to me within 3 hours. I am grateful and so thankful to have wonderful people such as this out there helping out. Great shopping experience aswell!

   We usually go Saturdays, maybe it's not the day for shopping? But this place is impressively understocked. I just don't want to need to have to change multiple dinner plans because they're constantly out of things like chicken breast and mince!! 2 stars for prices though ✨️
