“One of the best sushi places in Auckland. The ingredients are fresh and in generous portions, and there's a great selection of flavours. The tables in the courtyard are fabulous to sit in the sun and people watch. Would recommend.”
“Most delicious pizza’s we ever had.love the ambience, love the taste.”
“I had heard a lot about Lucky Gs and their reputation as the best burger spot in New Zealand, so my wife and I decided to check it out. It's located near Kelston Mall, and there was plenty of street parking available, so we had no trouble finding a spot. It was Sunday afternoon, and the place was buzzing with people dining in and grabbing takeaways. The interior looked amazing. Lots of cool decorations and photos that gave the place a great vibe. The staff were super friendly and enjoyed what they did, which made the atmosphere even livelier. As for the burgers, they lived up to the hype. My wife had the Little G - a tasty, smaller burger that wasn’t too juicy but still really flavourful. I went for the burger with jalapeños and loved the spicy kick. We added a combo for $7, and the potato chips were perfectly cooked. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and can't wait to come back and try more of their burgers!”
“My favourite place in the neighbourhood. The sushi is fresh and the staff are very kind and welcoming. Highly recommend!”
“The best place for breakfast & lunch on Waiheke Island! Lovely spot with few seats outside, offering stellar breakfasts with REAL french patisserie goods (only place we got a like-in-Paris croissant in weeks...), as well as yummy sandwiches & burgers around lunchtime. Prices significantly lower than rest of the island while the food is better here. We came back twice during our three day-stay on the island!”
“I don't know how many of you know about this hidden gem. This Filipino BBQ restaurant is yum and charm, especially to the meat lovers you really don't want to miss it. Upper Queen right opposite the park, small venue but very worth the penny you pay. Great Filipino hospitality, one person to handle almost everything still wear his natural smile. The pork ribs, steak and the adolbo (Filipino slow cooked pork ribs) are the three recommendations you must try.”
“Amazing food! The owner is so nice and kind. Offered himself to take a photo of us. Creamiest pasta I've ever had.”
“I got 2 food items for around 20 dollars each, my whole party loved it here, the atmosphere felt very good and I especially loved the spoon that i used for my Ramen 10/10 would go there again”
“Mark served us at the front counter – absolute legend. Super friendly and made the experience even better. The food was great as always. Definitely coming back more often! Point Chev Burger Fuel!”
“We came to Devonport for a day trip and had a late lunch at Devonport Indian Hub. The staff greeted us warmly and even entertained our kids with snacks and balloons, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was absolutely delicious — we ordered the deal of 4 dishes for only $75, and it was great value as wecwere 4 adults with 2 kids. Their customer service is outstanding, and the team is very friendly. They even let our kids play around, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We loved the people here and highly recommend this place!”
“The spicy chicken was nice and smokey. Owners were friendly, and lots of quick sushi and Japanese cabinet snacks readily available.”
“It was my first time at a vegan restaurant but I did enjoy my meal. We left it up to the chef and chose the big feast option which is $59pp (minimum 2 people) and a wine pairing for 1 person $35. I was so stuffed I had to go for a walk afterwards.”
“Absolutely delicious! This place serves an amazing variety of authentic Indonesian dishes. Our favorites are the mie ayam komplit and the soto .Every bite feels comforting and made with love. The owners, Mba Tina and her husband Riko, are incredibly friendly. They always welcome us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality.”
“Most authentic taste of Chengdu in Auckland”
Nice chicken keeps things pan‑Asian comfort and focused on flavour. Views add a quiet lift to the visit. The room sits relaxed with an easy buzz. Service stays present without fuss. Stir‑fries keep go...
“Really tasty food, well balanced flavours. Love the ratio of meat, rice and salad. My partner doesn't eat salad so I happily had his share. So glad they had a pop up at Smales Farm but wished they could stay longer. The spaghetti and chicken was tasty too! Highly recommend the adobo, lechon and inasal.”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Food and Exceptional Hospitality! I recently visited Spice Avenue, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I ordered the Tamil Nadu–style chicken curry with butter naan, and it was absolutely delicious — full of authentic flavor and perfectly cooked. But what truly made my visit special was the kindness and humility of the manager. When I was about to leave, it started raining heavily. Seeing that, he kindly offered to drop me wherever I needed to go. Even when I said I would wait outside, he came again and genuinely insisted on giving me a ride in his car. It’s rare to find such good food paired with such a good-hearted person. The manager’s care and hospitality made me feel truly valued as a guest. I highly recommend Spice Avenue to anyone looking not just for a great meal, but also a warm and memorable experience.”
“The white chocolate matcha with oat milk was super yum. The pancakes were crispy on the outside and soft and spongy on the inside. The bacons were crispy!”
“got a flat white here. Family owned small business, food truck set up along the waterfront. Quick service and good coffee.”
“One of the absolute best burger joints in town. With an all vegan menu, their food is the pick if the crop when it comes to eating out. Never have I been disappointed by the food I've got. On top of that the staff are super friendly and the atmosphere of the venue is top notch. Whether you're vegan or not, this is a foodie spot everyone should make the time to visit.”
“Absolutely the best cup off coffee in Wellington. Bre and Nick make the atmosphere a perfect and welcoming place every single time. Coffee 10, Chats 10, cute occasional dogs and other nice customers 10. come here :)”
“The staff are what makes this place: they are so nice and they listen carefully. My partner tells me I am the most fussy coffee customer on the planet; they listen to my order and always get it right with the perfect coffee.”
“In my shortlist for best coffee in Wellington, really really good stuff. Have been here many times over a few months and each time has been great. The staff are well trained as is minimal variation in results. Great sitting outdoors too.”
“A hidden gem, the pizza was amazing. The bases were soft and fluffy. They only accept cash, you can take your own drinks, they have a few basics available. They were also selling freshly squeezed apple juice. Highly recommend. Don't forget to pre-order the bases very early in the week.”
“Good price, good sushi, great service. Now becomes my go to place for lunch”
“Amazing coffee and pastries!! 100% recommend. Great vegan options too”
“Having a local coffee shop that sells fair trade, organic coffee sets this cool little place apart from all others in this area. This particular coffee hit the spot!!”
“A piccolo latte has a higher coffee-to-milk ratio, resulting in a stronger taste compared to a latte, which has a more balanced flavor due to its larger milk content. Both drinks use steamed and stretched milk, which provides a smooth texture as it mixes with the espresso.”
“Oh. My. Goodness. I lived in Buenos Aires for a while and this was like stepping through a portal to those cobbled streets. The empanadas (like Cornish pasties but infinitely more delicious) are fresh and full of flavour and the croissants are actually medialunas, similar to croissants but they are sweet. They are the real deal and will blow your mind with their soft, pillowy goodness. Get the one stuffed with caramel/ dulce de leche and pair it with a black coffee for an unforgettable experience.”
“Staying in Wellington for a couple of days and decided to stop by before flying out after seeing all the great reviews. Went first thing in the morning, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The ambience was exactly my style. I’m not even a big coffee drinker, but I could still tell how good the coffee was—distinct and different from your average spot. You can tell they care about their craft. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their coffees next time I’m in town.”
