   We eat with our eyes first so I knew I was going to enjoy my M&C pie. They just look soooo nice. Yum as! Loaded fries were lovely too. Although I didn't have one, the burgers my mates had looked yum as well. So many things I want to try on their menu. Despite living in Hamilton, I don't mind the drive for quality. My only critique would be bamboo cutlery. It slowed me down a bit as I just wanted to smash into my pie non-stop :-)

   Every time I come back to NZ I try to find a great Bacon and Egg pie, well I have found the best pies in New Zealand, tasty, big pie, full to the brim with Bacon and Egg, the Chips were amazing, wonderful food will be definitely back

   I had a mince pie this week and sorry to say I didn't enjoy it. I love a good mince pie and I was really looking forward to it. At $9. I was expecting great things. Unfortunately the filling was very salty and too dry for my liking. I appreciate it did have a good amount of mince but there was zero gravy and I think a good pie does need some gravy for mouth feel. The pastry was good, nice and flakey but overall not for me.

   I highly rate Back Yard Pies!! I got their loaded fries. Massive meal! It’s slightly different to typical loaded fries and I looove it! Nice friendly service too!! Try it out!

   Awesome!! Everyone at the table was content! I devoured a Blue Lady Toastie, as they are part of the “The great NZ Toastie takeover!” A steady flow of people the entire time we were there! Have to recommend this gem spot in Te Aroha. “Took Pies home for a easy peasy tasty dinner”

   Backyard Eatery is a must-visit for anyone who loves delicious pies and great customer service. The pies were absolutely delicious, with flaky crusts and perfectly cooked fillings that left me wanting more. But what really stood out to me was the excellent customer service - the staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make my dining experience enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Backyard Eatery and can't wait to go back!
