The kitchen at Number wire takes a grillโfocused path and lets the food speak. Sides support without crowding the plate. A sensible spend for the spread. Sweets lean classic and not overly rich. Portions make for an easy, filling stop.
We loved this place.. The food was amazing.. the meats (venison, scotch fillet and lamb) were all perfectly cooked as we had requested.. which can be very hard to do. My daughter devoured the sticky date pudding dessert as well. The manager took good care of us.
Great e-order system, we were positively surprised how fast the food was delivered. The lamp perfectly cooked and tasty. We also had venison ordered, it was my first approach to venison and I can honestly say it was exquisite. All very tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We ordered the Meat Board for Two with mushroom sauce and black garlic butter, and it was fantastic. The meat was cooked just rightโjuicy and tender. I had never tried black garlic butter before, and it was a delicious addition to the steaks. The kids' meals were reasonably priced, and both my daughters finished everything and wanted more. Overall, it was definitely worth it. Definitely come back again on our next Rotorua trip. - Family from Auckland.
Every dish was beautifully cooked with exquisite flavour and perfect seasoning. The service was warm and attentive, and everything tasted so fresh. The cosy atmosphere makes it perfect for a date night. The pudding dessert was the perfect sweet ending. If youโre in Rotorua, this place is a must-visit. You wonโt regret it!
totally worth it, been to rotorua on this weekend had a pork belly as a entree , it was so juicy and soft. In the mains i had a lamb rump Medium rare with some mushroom sauce,Cooked perfectly I would say was the best meat in NZ. My friends had Venison and Tomahawk steak they were completely satisfied too. Restaurant also have a peace and calming atmosphere. Its actually perfect place for a date with your loved ones. Overall 10/10
Had a really nice dinner here! The beef was perfectly cooked - tender, juicy and savoury. The cosy atmosphere coupled with the hospitality perfected the dining experience! Had a really good time and would love to come back if I travel in Rotorua again! :)
Absolutely phenomenal food and service. We've had great food in Rotorua but this place absolutely takes the cake. Steaks were cooked perfectly, no faults, and incredibly tender so could be cut with a butter knife. Yogi was very accommodating and went above and beyond to cater to my love of peppercorn sauce, which was not on the menu (his chef and he made a beautiful mix of peppercorn and Port jus) and it was one of the best sauces I've ever had with a steak. Quieter as they are located off Eat St, however nowhere near as commercialized and if you want a more intimate dining experience with faultless food and service, this is the place.
Food was nice, came out quickly but was not a busy night, a bit overpriced though. Definitely to try ***Just an update when we went the second time, meat was not cooked to our liking (was well done instead of medium-rare), however was still tasty Perhaps more attention next time to meat cooking***
