“I phoned and was able to make a very last minute appointment to be fitted for a sports bra. The lady on the phone was lovely and very accommodating. The staff in the store were kind, warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and non-judgemental. I was initially concerned about how much I would be paying for a sports bra, but for $100 (very reasonable when you've tried and failed in a multitide of other stores to find a 16G!) I got a very comfortable, very supportive sports bra, and a wonderful experience with some truly lovely ladies. Will definitely be shopping here again!”

“I popped into Nifty for the first time yesterday and absolutely loved it! The store is really spacious and beautifully set up, with such a great range of clothing to browse through. “I have been in Smarty Pants a number of times, sometimes I'm not quite sure what gift I'm after, last time it was for my 10yo nephew who lived in Australia. After being asked a few thoughtful questions the retail assistant offered some suggestions and showed me a couple of items, it was perfect! The best service, she really took the time to help me without any of the pushiness. Really friendly and positive. The shop itself is treasure, laid out beautifully with high quality items. Back for sure, next time its lunchboxes! From past experience, I know that they will talk me through the options so I get the right one!”

“This place is awesome! Took four teenagers to a Sunday Battlestrike session for the first time. Dion was amazing, kitting the boys out and running the games. Having the new rental guns were cool. The participants, many of them with serious kit, were super friendly and accommodating, helping the teens on and off the playing fields. Highly recommend, will be back.”

Have brought my husband a few shirts here over the years and really amazing quality and the tailoring service is wonderful. We went in again this week with just a few hours to sort out an outfit for a funeral before flying to the uk. The team were kind and did everything they could to find something appropriate and did on the spot tailoring. He has ended up with something that he feels comfortable in and will give him years and years of use. Thank you!”

“Greatest shout out to the team here My son's wedding party ended up there on Saturday Groom from Rotorua, one in Wellington, one in Sydney. One of the boys is rather large The team were professional, courteous, dealt with the banter well. They measured up, found sizes that would fit, will arrange for the Wellington suit to be couriered there for alteration confirmation. “Big thumbs up to the staff at Takapuna who were able to do a phone sale for me and help me out after I had a crap experience with the online team. I had bought a surfskate online but didn't hear anything for ages. When I emailed they said the surfskate I wanted was out of stock (despite showing as in stock at a number of stores) and just refunded my money. They never got back to me after I made another enquiry to see if I could get a different one so it was a pretty annoying experience I didn't really trust trying to buy anything else online. However, when I rung the guys at Takapuna they sorted me out, it arrived quickly and now I'm stoked with my new board.”

Stuff I need and then stuff I want (there is a difference!). This is definitely not like a so called "surf" shop in a mall selling surf brand fashion clothing to teenagers, this is a specialised surf, foil, sail, SUP retailer. Highly recommended.”
