   The owner of this store, Paul, also manages the Hugo Boss store in Auckland Commercial Bay — where I purchased a jacket that had a clear defect. Let’s be honest — this entire situation says far more about you, Paul, than it ever did about the jacket. The way you handled this matter — defensive, arrogant, and lacking basic respect — is exactly why customers lose trust in your store. You’ve shown that rather than taking responsibility or showing professionalism, you prefer to argue and blame the customer. The Disputes Tribunal’s outcome was based only on procedural evidence, not the full reality. You know that. The absence of proof doesn’t make your claims true — it just shows how easily you hide behind technicalities instead of addressing what really happened. As a foreigner and a businessperson living in New Zealand, I took the case to the Tribunal not because of the money, but because I genuinely wanted to understand how the local consumer protection system works in practice. Ironically, it was your store that turned a small, fixable issue into something far bigger than it ever needed to be. A true leader in retail would have shown humility and accountability. You, Paul, chose to double down with ego and hostility. Your public replies — filled with excuses and condescension — reflect your own insecurities more than anything else. You took a simple, fixable issue worth NZD 1,099 and escalated it all the way to the Tribunal. That’s not professionalism — that’s pettiness. And it exposed exactly what kind of manager you are: someone who would rather fight a customer than face the truth. Fortunately, what I lost was small — but what it revealed was significant. I will never do business with you again.

   My partner and I shop at Hugo Boss and have experienced excellent customer service in all their stores in NZ and abroad. Our visit to Christchurch was no different. We were welcomed by Monica with a beautiful smile who asked us what we needed assistance with. Nathan also came to assist after serving other customers. A great store on Cashel St in Christchurch with superb team who are very helpful, polite & friendly. Good range of products & excellent customer service always makes shopping so much fun. Thank you Nathan and Monica for such wonderful service.

   You won’t find a better store to visit in the whole of Christchurch! I love shopping here and have made several trips over the last year. I've always walked out the door feeling valued and like I’ve had a personalised shopping experience. The team are always outstanding! Pleasant, enjoyable, and very friendly to deal with, and they're very knowledgeable on their great range and can help you find what you're looking for. They can even help you when you don’t know what you’re looking for like me! You can always tell a great store by how they deal with problems, and this was highlighted to me by the way they handled a recent issue I raised. The product wasn’t faulty, but I went in to ask for advice on the issue with the product I thought was occurring, and rather than just correcting me, they gave me advice and store credit towards a new product! This small act went above and beyond what I expected and made me feel genuinely valued as a customer. Esther and Nathan are wonderful! I regularly deal with Nathan who’s excellent – it’s great having someone who is attentive, knows what you like and what looks good on you, and provides fantastic advice based on that. 5-star service from Esther, Nathan, and the team, and hope to keep seeing them for many years to come. Can highly recommend a visit to see them!
