“This was a really wonderful experience, we can not find one fault even if we tried, the facilities are fantastic the gardens superb with a gorgeous swimming pool and fabulous decor and the food in the restaurant is excellent. Nick was the perfect host nothing was to much trouble really welcoming and what made this stay really magical was Nicolas the food and beverage manager he has a wealth of knowledge around different wines, and his enthusiasm for the industry is really contagious we highly recommend a stay at Henley.”

“Such an amazing place! The Strother family is such a delight and the place was the perfect spot to visit locations nearby like Hobbiton and the Waitomo Glowworm caves. Also they have horses and cows you can say hi to too. It was a perfect stay and I will visit there again next time I'm in New Zealand.”

“My Wife and I stayed at the Cobb Cottage on our wedding night and were blown away by the beautiful place and friendly service. We were greeted with a candle-lit atmosphere, (good) bottle of bubbles, good sized chocolate desserts and fresh baked bread. The Cottage was very clean and tidy and fitted out in a beautiful way that makes the entire place a piece of artwork. In the morning a fresh loaf of bread and hot tea were left for us on the outside table. Found in the fridge were a variety of drinks and the ingredients (and recipe) for a fantastic smoothee. We enjoyed this out of the sunny deck where it is easy to relax for the whole day. The way the place is arranged, the house and grounds are nicely private. We really would recommend this to anyone and wish we had booked in for longer. Looking forward to heading back one day!”

“Excellent holiday park with very high-quality facilities: a great pool, a well-equipped shared kitchen, and an excellent barbecue area. The price is on the higher side, but in our opinion the value matched it. Two downsides: there are not many shower/toilet stalls, and there are quite a lot of flies in the evening and at night, which can be bothersome.”

“This was a lovely cottage with a pretty garden view. The host was kind and helpful. The rooms each had their own theme and decor that I enjoyed. The shower water pressure was great as well. The location was nice, just outside of town, but close enough for us to see and explore as we had planned.”

“Great host with really good communication for easy check in and he also let me check in earlier. Great place, it's a lovely old character place that has been done up with new bathrooms, kitchen etc. Clean, good facilities/furnishings and warm (heating throughout). Fairly priced too unlike some places that charge more and aren't as nice. Would stay again when travelling through and recommend to others.”

“The gentleman who owns it was friendly and accommodating to my tardiness. A lovely old building that seemed to have a character of its own. The room a pleasant mixture of vintage and modern. For me, personally, a charming accommodation. A suggestion: perhaps move the history of the building to its own two pages, nearer the front? If possible, some photos and a map of the building. Lean hard into the near 100 years, as that's part of what drew me to stay here.”

“Very clean and modern. Lots of parking. Rooms were immaculate and well appointed. Lovely staff. Decided to stay another night as it was quiet and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen with hot plate and microwave. Impressive motel. Would stay again if I came back to Hamilton.”

The linen was great quality. The two sisters who are running the establishment are making a real difference to local community so I encourage you to support them.”

“The unit is better than expected. This is like home away from home, it is so well equipped. The unit has obviously been refurbished. Very clean, tidy, and so handy to the hospital. Just bring earplugs if you're not used to traffic noise.”

“We called in on our way home from Kawhia to Rotorua. What a treasure to their community. So many handy services. We had icecreams and chicken & chips. Delicious kai, excellent friendly service and a nice bench seat to eat at out front. We theorised on how the bikes came to be there.”

“Within 700 m walk of many restaurants and cafes. Rooms were large well appointed and beds were comfortable and appliances new . Cleanliness exceptional. Would recommend and stay again ourselves if visiting. Lovely country town and people.”

“Amazing stay. The location is very convenient, close to city centre with 5mins walk from bus station. The staff were really helpful and courteous. The room was spacious and clean. Will recommend for solo travellers too.”

“Overall, it was a great place to stay! We got warned not to stay on Ulster Street, but honestly, it was very peaceful and quiet the whole night. It was fully booked on Saturday as well. We stayed in apt 26, which is located upstairs. Be careful if it's wet and you are walking upstairs. it's very slippery. The room was a 2 beddy, very spacious for a 2 bedroom. Super king bed in one room (medium firmness) and 3 singles (medium to soft firmness) in the other. Our bathroom was quite large also. Walk-in shower, maybe 1.2m3, no bath, and toilet. The toiletries were eco-friendly and smelt very nice. For 5 guests, we were given 1 towel and 1 face cloth each. The heated towel rail was on, so when we had our showers, we had warm towels. Great selection of coffee, hot chocolates, and teas. Cutlery and crockery were clean. The entire room was spotless apart from under the beds. I bit of rubbish and fluff under the single beds. We had an aircon machine in the living room, the main bedroom and living room had smart tv. Unfortunately, the person who stayed in our room before us happened to leave the search history in the youtube search menu. Umm, it's a completely inappropriate search to leave up. We booked via Booking.com, which is quite easy and cheaper than other sites. Check-in was easy, and the reception person was friendly, although the receprion smelt like a string incense or curry smell, quite offputting lucky i was in and out for check in quickly. I was given a 250ml of meadowfresh milk and one set of keys. The guy took my credit card details and left. We always take photos before and after our stay to ensure we arent charged anything. Overall, I highly recommend staying here! For the price you are getting very good quality. We will definitely come back here.”
