Stayed 2 nights in the Penthouse apartment and WOW! Spacious, immaculate, modern, luxurious, and reasonably priced. Denise met us upon arrival and explained everything about the apartment and Raglan dining options. We live on the road in rental apartments so we’ve seen the spectrum from bad to excellent…the Silo Apartments are definitely in the top 5 of where we’ve stayed in the last 4 years! Don’t hesitate to book here.

We had a great stay at the Silos. We stayed in The Grand apartment so only commenting on this particular accommodation - it was out of this world. The host Denise was lovely. The pool table was a great addition to the apartment :) We will stay there again if we go back to Raglan in the future.

The apartment was an unexpected pleasure to stay in. I thoroughly enjoyed everything and the service was an A+. I enjoyed eating over the road and could not resist trying the highly recommended fish from the nearby wharf. To our surprise, as we did not realize the sea in front of the Silos was so tidal, when we turned the lights out we could people spearfishing under headlamps just in front. Amazing.

Had a great visit here, we stayed in The Penthouse, only 47 steps up. The room has great sea views , although most of the time the rain was front and centre, it was interesting to watch the weather move across the sky. There were occasions when the moon peaked out from behind the clouds and lit up the bay. Even the fog made an appearance too. We would definitely stayed here again, the town is only 15 minutes walk away, with a great bar & eating options within a few minutes too. The hostess Denise was very friendly too.

We stayed here after getting married in Manu Bay. The location was perfect since we were having the reception on the other side of the street. It was quite expensive with a minimum 2 night stay. There were pretty strict limits (guests/curfew) that we were made well aware of on a few occasions. We were quite disappointed that the tiny fridge could not hold drinks and food at the same time (the bar in the door was missing). When I brought it to their attention I was told they don't make parts for that fridge anymore. So they knew about the issue and hire it out anyway. Also the freezer was off because "it doesn't get used...". With the fridge issue, would it not make sense to have the freezer going with some filled ice trays in it? The master bedroom has a strange window at the ceiling that is open to the lounge and kitchen so don't plan on any privacy if you have a guest stay. There is no heat pump for cooling/white noise (or windows in main room). The guest room has a sliding door to outside as opposed to the main room. The lighting in the bathroom was really bad and no extraction fan, when I went to wipe off the condensation it felt like the mirror was going to fall off (nice underfloor heating though). I really wanted to like this place but being that it was so expensive, they knew about the fridge issues and then ended up charging us the extra $35 for our photographer to sleep in one of the single beds instead of comping it for our trouble....... after we left the place spotless. No receipt was sent through for the extra charge put on our card. The lady seemed quite keen to help but not at the same time.

Amazing views, apartment and location. Easy 10 minute walk to town to walk off all the amazing local eateries. Excellent hospitality from vendors truly a great and unique experience.

I recently booked three of the Silo Apartments for our Book Club girls' annual Christmas weekend away. The group wanted a place where we could all stay, cook and dine together. We booked The Grand, Waters Edge, and Harbour View apartments, using the Grand as our base to dine together. All three apartments were very comfortable, well equipped, cleverly designed and spotlessly clean. Location wise, they were perfect. The Silos overlook the Raglan Harbour and are next to the Raglan Wharf which has beautiful shops, such as Soul Shoes, Tony Sly Pottery and a popular Fish & Chips establishment, where you can sit and watch the activity on the wharf and the fishing boats. Several of the girls expressed interest in returning to stay there with their husbands, and if I was looking to take my husband for a weekend away in Raglan, the Silos would be my first port of call.
