We had a lovely time with Willie & Faye. The room was comfortable and the food was great. My friend's special dietary requirements were catered for perfectly. We will be back!
This is the second time we have stayed at this bnb. Willie and Faye are excellent hosts who went above and beyond to help us during our stay, (a time of family grief). The room was beautifully presented, the most comfy bed with luxurious linen and throws. The ensuite was exceptionally clean, refreshed daily and had thoughtful touches like flowers. Our breakfasts were delicious, beautifully presented and Willie and Faye were flexible with times allowing us to choose when we wanted breakfast served. They showed interest in us and offered helpful information and advice about the local area etc. We were able to come and go as we pleased. Would thoroughly recommend. We will be sure to return again!
Great place to stay while visiting Hobbiton. The room we had was very nice and comfortable. The breakfast provided in the morning was filling and delicious, and the hosts were great! I managed to leave behind my Airpods and they were kept safe for me in a baggie with my name on it and the date of my stay.
Willie and Faye are awesome hosts! Willie offered to pick us up from the i-Site as well as drop us off the next day which we were thankful for. Breakfast was delicious, the room (The Loft) was very nice and cozy. I definitely recommend stying with them if you’re going to stay in Matamata.
Comfy beds and lovely hosts. The place was super clean and comfortable, breakfast had a great variety of options, even for my dietary restrictions. Hosts went above and beyond, gave great advice on what to do around the area and left us to do our own thing. Would happily stay again.
My husband and I stopped in at this mediocre neighborhood house where we were interrogated for 20 minutes. We asked if we could be shown to our room and they continued to question us for ten minutes. When we asked for a key to our room, to protect our belongings from other guests, we were denied. Upon coming to our room, we were welcomed with a giant sign to not not give them bedbugs, don’t put any luggage on the bed (even though there was not room to put our luggage anywhere but the bed, because we couldn’t get even move in our room b/c it was so small), the fact that they demanded that we be up by 8:00 am for breakfast, it was just multiple bad first impressions on the last days of our magical honeymoon. They listed in house rules on property but nowhere else on the initial b&b website that we could not eat or drink in our room or that there was a shared bathroom. The property owners felt more like jailers vs welcoming b&b hosts. They gave us no time of day and completely ignored us when we tried to talk to them about our concerns. They seemed like miserable hosts (from initial impressions) and we would not recommend. As we left the property within 30 minutes of arriving. We sent them a very nice and courteous email, explaining our concerns. They did not reply and simply charged our credit card. We would recommend that you stay with the gestapo or the Spanish inquisition, more than to subject you and your loved more ones to dealing with this place. We found a motel, down the road, that was much more accommodating to us. We highly recommend that you find other accommodations who will not scrutinize your every move; insult your vacation and your personal existence.
