   This place is a gem and we wish we had spent more than one night. Very comfy rooms for 2 adults and 2 small kids on the sofa bed. Great little yard for a play and the kitchen room setup was delightful. April and her parents were also very helpful and welcoming. Can't recommend this as a stay more!

   We had a wedding to attend at Hobbiton in Matamata. Villa Shakespeare was the perfect place for us to spend a couple of nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the bed was SO comfortable. Cleanliness and facilities top notch. Particularly the shower - best shower I’ve had for a long time.

   It is owned by Ms Hilary and her daughter. All the rooms are named after plays by Shakespeare. Located in a quiet area. My wife and I stayed for one night. The room was spacious and impeccable with heater, fan and cable TV provided. The bath and toilet were neat and high end toiletries provided. There is a fully equipped and well stocked kitchen for your breakfast at the back of the property. Ms Hilary is very friendly and made us very welcome. It is a great place to stay

   Absolutely loved it here! We were accommodated the early check in we asked for, hosts were absolutely lovely, room was beautiful and clean and supplied with tea and coffee and a fridge and a lovely breakfast was supplied too. I'd 100% stay here again in a heat beat!

   Beautiful villa. We stayed in the Midsummer room, it was surprisingly warm (due to a large radiator) as we stepped in from a winter night. Small issues were the mini fridge didn’t seem cold enough, the jug seemed to take a while to boil, and the pillows were a bit hard so I used the cushions. Even so, it was a pleasure to stay in this room. The grand wooden furniture made it feel very cosy and Shakespearean (except with all the modern amenities you’d want). Highly recommended.

   It is difficult to give a rating as we stayed in the caravan. It is a nice caravan but we did not realize that it really is like camping with a camping toilet which is filling up quickly and a shower that needs reheating after 5 Minutes of showering. For us it would have been good to have known that in advance.

   This place is literally a gem, the pictures dont do justice to the place. We got a room that was totally perfect and felt like home, bathroom was newly renovated. Totally spotless bathroom and bedroom. All necessary items were there. Wifi speed was really good, and best we got in any hotel/motel in NZ. It is 20 mins away from hobbiton movie set. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Loved the place. Totally recommend it.
